  • Galentine’s Day {Photo Recap} at Hoboken Dream Nails & Spa

It may have been a great weekend to stay inside with the conflicting weather {as much as we hate Punxsutawney Phil for these additional weeks of winter}, but celebrating a magically snowy pre-Valentine’s Day with local Hoboken gals is just what we needed this Sunday afternoon.

What was supposed to be a Thursday-night cocktail-and-mani happy hour turned into a post-brunch girls afternoon, after the snow storm this week delayed the party, but we knew it’d be well worth the wait. The Cocktails and Nails pre-Valentine’s Day event hosted by Hoboken’s Dream Nails & Spa was accompanied with delicious custom cocktails served by the talented Lia Giachino {@lmgiachino / @jerseydrinks} and the pictures don’t do them justice!

    • The Full Package

For single ladies and taken-gals alike, our all-inclusive ticket covered a Dream Nails & Spa nail-art manicure {in-lieu of any plans for the upcoming V-Day}, signature cocktails, dessert table, and a pretty pink swag bag to-go!

    • Treat Table

Also, by sweet treats, we mean there was a table of glitter covered cake pops – locally made by Cake It, Baby! {@CakeIt_Baby} – plus it wouldn’t be a proper celebration of our galentine’s friendships without some delicious chocolate-covered strawberries.

    • Girls Night Out

Major props to Ashley from Dream Nails for setting up this seriously fun event to bring together new friends and meet Hoboken gals with similar interests {who doesn’t love a good mani and a few drinks?} for a bit of low-key fun and much needed girl-time in mile square this weekend.

*note: this was my first-ever trial {and v simple} start to my new obsession with nail art*

If you missed out this time {and are currently experiencing FOMO} don’t fret: we’ve been assured there will be more fun events like this one in the near future – see you there!

Genna moved to Hoboken upon graduating from the University of Tennessee to start her Marketing career at Scripps Networks in midtown Manhattan. To Genna, there's nothing better than SEC football, sunny weather naps on her balcony, and window shopping down Fifth Avenue. You may have spotted her as a sales associate in our local Anthropologie... that is, when she's not binge watching her favorite HGTV shows! Most days, you can find Genna circling the Mile Square on her morning running routine or attempting to justify her shopping addiction along Washington Street.
