Morning Yoga at Buddha Press: Wednesdays at 6:00AM

Starting September 2nd, Buddha Press will be hosting yoga class every Wednesday at 6:00AM. Kate Lombardo will teach the vinyasa style yoga class that will help wake you up and get you ready for your day. Head to the juice spa to stretch and strengthen and then enjoy a delicious juice or smoothie for breakfast {check out our favorites}. The class is free {love it!} and students must bring their own mats. Buddha Press is located at 321 Washington Street.

Maxwell’s Country Concert Series continues this Friday with music from William Honor, Kyle Lechner, and ending with Logan Mize performing at 10PM. Enjoy the tailgate party from 6-10PM with drink specials.   Tickets purchased online are $12 and will be $15 at the door. Note: Show is 21 +

Giggle Pit Comedy Show: Friday, August 28th from 7-8:30 PM

Actress, comedian, producer Sue Costello will be the headliner of this months Giggle Pit Comedy Show in Jersey City this Friday. Sue is best known for her show Costello on FOX. Other comedians performing will be. Adam Lucidi from AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live, Erin Maguire from The Stand, Alex Csederik from 2015 Meadowlands Comedy Festival, Drew Dowdey from New York Comedy Club, LaTice Klapa from ABC’s The View and Brett Druck from Just for Laughs on TBS. The show will be held at HopsScotch GastroPub on 286 Washington Street, Jersey City. HopsScotch Gastro Pub will be having $5 drink specials throughout the show. Tickets are $20  Note: Jersey City Comedy Club is every month until September 28th

Rummage & Ruffage Midtown Farmer’s Market: Saturday, August 29th at 8:00AM

Farmer’s Markets are still in season so make sure to take advantage while you still can. We’ve been loving the Rummage and Ruffage farmer’s market all summer long. The market starts with Yoga on the Lawn at 8:00AM with Morgan Gertler. Starting at 9:00AM farmers and local vendors have yummy foods and other items for sale including fresh eggs, grass-fed and pasture raised meats, baked goods, salsa, traditional and vegan cheese stands, freshly pressed juices and a coffee stand as well as some prepared food options. There is also a Community Compost Co. drop-off spot at the market.

All Sounds Summer Showcase at Maxwell’s: Saturday, August 29th at

Move Entertainment presents Truekey with HoderaIn Writing, Rosey Bengal and Bronze Thesaurus at Maxwell’s this Saturday night for a summer concert. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance and $13 at the door.

The Nerds at Wicked Wolf: Saturday, August 29th at 10:00PM

Wicked Wolf continues their Live Music Festival this weekend with The Nerds on Saturday night. The high-energy band will play cover songs of some of the best known rock music. The NJ native band is known for their pointless arguments onstage about trivial matters and have made the commotion a regular part of their act. Enjoy their music and lots of laughs!

Riverview Farmer’s Market: Sunday, August 30th from 10:00AM-3:00PM

The Riverview Farmer’s Market features four New Jersey farmers selling a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, pasture raised meats, cage-free/free-range eggs, and fresh, local dairy products. Local vendors also offer fresh baked goods, nuts, dried fruit, pickles, olives, locally made honey, and veggie burgers. Food trucks and carts will serve freshly made, ready to eat snacks like fruit popsicles, brick oven pizza, and Mexican food. In addition, local artisans are on hand selling handcrafted soaps, body products, and scented soy candles.

Heirloom Tomato-Tasting Festival: Sunday, August 30th from 1-5:00 PM

Hoboken Historical Museum is having their 13th annual Heirloom Tomato-Tasting Festival this Sunday. New Jersey farmers Rich and Sue Sisti of Catalpa Ridge Farm will be back with over a dozen varieties of heirloom tomatoes, freshly picked and ready for sampling. Head to the museum and try everyone’s favorites such as the tart “Aunt Ruby’s German Green,” the flavorful “Brandywine Pink,” and the ever-popular “Radiator Charlie’s Mortgage Lift er.” The event is free and will be head in the breeze way outside the Museum. Pier 13 Lobsterfest: Sunday, August 30th at 1:00PM & 4:00PM

Grab your bibs and seafood crackers and reserve your spot for Pier 13’s Lobsterfest. They’re offering a great value pack, which includes 8 lobsters, 24 beers, potato salad, and cole slaw for $360 per table. Each table seats 8 people. There will be a 1:00PM and a 4:00PM seating.
