Hoboken Fall Arts and Music Festival: Sunday, September 27th from 11:00AM-6:00PM
This Sunday marks the 22nd Annual Arts & Music Festival, in which Washington Street {from Observer Highway through 7th Street} is taken over by two stages and tents full of vendors. This year, over 300 vendors will be at the event and over 15 musical appearances are scheduled. Fine artists will be located between 2nd & 3rd Street. and 5th & 6th Street. Children’s activities including rides, games, face painting, sand art, and more can be found on 3rd street. And, in true Hoboken form, lots of great food will be available throughout the day. Hoboken restaurants will set up street cafes offering an eclectic variety of international foods such as: Thai, Indian, Greek, French, Mexican, Cajun and Italian. Admission to the event is free and the weather is supposed to be beautiful on Sunday. Make sure to stop by!

Jack’s Cabin 1 Year Anniversary Party: Friday, September 25th at 4:00PM
Help Jack’s Cabin celebrate their 1st anniversary tonight. The celebration starts at 4:00PM with live music from Gravy Train from 7-10:00PM. Djs will be playing music before and after. Free passed hor d’oeuvres will be available from 6-7:00PM and again from 9-10:00PM. Giveaways will be handed out all night long. Jack’s Cabin is located at 61 Jackson Street.
End of Summer Boat Party at Pier 13: Friday, September 25th from 7:30-10:30PM
Celebrate the end of summer at the Pier 13 Boat Party tonight. Tickets will be sold at the pier for $100 per person and include premium bar packages, light fare, and special guests DJs. Boarding begins at 7:30pm so be sure to arrive early!
A Different View hob’art Show: Friday, September 25th – Sunday, October 11th
The exhibition of artwork by Don Sichler and Roslyn Rose that opened last weekend will remain open to the public until October 11 hob’art gallery. Mr. Sichler zooms in on the minutiae of everyday life and Ms. Rose steps back to see the broader picture. Free parking is available at the rear of the building on Jackson Street.
Rummage and Ruffage Beer Garden: Saturday, September 26th at 11:00AM
On Saturday, 9/26th beginning at 11am 902 Brewery Pale Ale True Hoboken will be served up in the first ever beer garden on the lawn of the Church of the Holy Innocents at the corner of 6th and Willow! Come, bring friends, and enjoy a $5 beer! Proceeds go toward the rehabilitation of the Church of the Holy Innocents, mirroring the goal of Rummage & Ruffage which takes place on the lawn every Saturday. In addition to the beer festivities, there will be (as usual) – 8am yoga with Lara Nicotra, 9:15am HIIT (high intensity interval training) with Iron Plate Studios, and rummage tables and farmers & vendors all open at 9am. It will be a busy day on the lawn!
St. Peter and Paul Oktoberfest 2015: Friday, September 25th from 6-10:00PM and Saturday, September 26th from 12-10:00PM
The 5th Annual Oktoberfest celebration, presented by St. Peter and Paul will take place on Friday September 25 and Saturday September 26. Enjoy traditional Oktoberfest fare from German pretzels to strudel, along with some other great festival favorites. It wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without some seasonal ice-cold brews, so raise a glass in toasting some delicious Oktoberfest drafts in our Biergarten located inside the Ss Peter and Paul plaza. The fun does not stop there! Enjoy live local music, try your chances at our Grand 50/50 Raffle and take the gang on a trip through our kid’s village across the street at Stevens Park sponsored by local Hoboken Catholic Academy. From bouncy castles to basketball, there is surely something for everyone. Bring EVERYONE to eat, drink and play, at Ss Peter and Paul Oktoberfest 2015. Cheers!
Hoboken Police Take-Back Day: Saturday, September 26th from 10:00AM-2:00PM
The Hoboken Police Department is participating in the “National Take Back Initiative”. This initiative aims to provide a safe and responsible way for the public to dispose of prescription drugs while educating the community about the reality of prescription drug abuse. This weekend the HPD will set up drop off stations throughout the city to enable residents to safely dispose of their drugs. The drop off locations and times are as follows:
- Hoboken Police Department, 106 Hudson Street: 10:00am to 2:00pm
- 311 Thirteenth Street AND 221 Jackson Street: 10:00am to 11:20am
- 400 First Street AND 220 Adams Street: 11:20am to 12:40pm
- 76 Bloomfield Street AND 514 Madison Street: 12:40pm to 2:00pm
Häagen-Dazs Grand Opening at Newport Center: Saturday, September 26th from 11:00AM-7:00PM
Häagen-Dazs celebrates their grand opening in Newport Centre this weekend. The first 500 people through the door will be treated to a free scoop Häagen-Dazs super premium ice cream or sorbet. Jersey City Mayor, Steven Michael Fulop, will be there at 11:00AM for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Guests will have the chance to win free ice cream for a year {delish!}. Make sure to stop by!
Hamilton Park BBQ Festival: Saturday, September 26th from 12-8:00PM
Take the trip into Jersey City this weekend to get your last barbeque fix this weekend. This annual fundraiser for the Hamilton Park Conservancy will take place at 232 Pavonia and feature barbeque vendors from New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The Hamilton Inn will serve drinks and NJ Beer Co. will have a beer truck. Live music will be playing all day. Check out their Facebook page for vendor details and more info.
Court Street Australian Wine Tasting: Saturday, September 26th from 1:45-4:00PM
This weekend is round two of Court Street’s “Wines from Down Under” Australian wine tasting event.. The cost is $40 per person {which includes tax and gratuity}. Spend the afternoon tasting yummy wine and enjoying a selection of cheese and crackers is served during the tasting. The restaurant is not open for lunch and they strongly recommend you eat lunch prior to attending the tasting. Payments are processed through PayPal. Paint the Town Purple at Hoboken Bar and Grille: Saturday, September 26th from 9:00PM-Midnight
Support a great cause this weekend and visit the Hoboken Bar & Grille to help end Alzheimer’s. For $40, enjoy a three hour open bar and spend time socializing with friends. Come out to “paint the town purple” on Saturday night.
