Corinne has lived, worked and played in Hoboken for over a decade. She’s worked professionally in the children’s fashion and stationary industries for years, illustrating and designing color schemes, patterns, notebooks, logos and much more. (She’s even met Lisa Frank!)

What started out as a personal hobby – designing custom invitations as a favor to friends and family – quickly spread to friends of friends and local event planners for a variety of events, including weddings, showers, Bar Mitzvahs and birthday parties. Corinne now frequently works with event planner and friend, Melissa, of Lollipops and Lemondrops, also located in Hoboken. She also visits The Office (“shout out to Ashley!”), located on downtown Washington Street, for all of her printing needs.

When it comes to customization, Corinne knows what’s up. Once she gets to know her clients, she ties their event together visually with the best ideas for paper accessories: Think, custom door hangers for your wedding hotel guests, Bride and Groom drink recipes on the bar at your wedding reception, custom matchbook favors, and even custom confetti!

Future goals for Love Letters Studio? Corinne says she’d love to expand her client base and make this her full time gig, with a studio space located in Hoboken that could bring other event specialists together.

Corinne answers our favorite questions about life around town:

1. What is your favorite restaurant in Hoboken?

This is a REALLY, REALLY tough one however I will try my best to answer this. I seriously love the sushi from Sushi Lounge – Optimistic Roll all the way. Also, Trattoria Saporito has amazing seafood pasta dishes, there’s a squid ink linguine dish there that is to die for. The tacos at Cadillac Cantina are pretty ridiculous as well – try the short rib one! We are so lucky to have so many amazing restaurants!

2. What is your favorite boutique in Hoboken?

I’ve always loved Aaraa. Their jewelry is beautiful and affordable, but most importantly unique. The colors, prints and patterns are all so beautiful, I love shopping there.

3. Where is your favorite place to go out in Hoboken?

I always have a great time at Pilsener Haus uptown. In the summer, I can spend all day hanging outside there. The pretzels are insane amazing. And there’s so much space to spread out in the wintertime. Plus my out of town friends can usually find parking up there, which is a huge bonus!

4. What do you love most about living in Hoboken?

Having everything you need at your doorstep, but still feeling like you’re “home.” Hoboken has lots of things to do and is so close to NYC, but I like knowing I have friends within walking distance and it’s normal to get a friendly wave from your local store owner, spin instructor, bartender, manicurist, etc….

5. What is your favorite outdoor place to hang out?

Pier 13! I remember the first time I went there, not a lot of people knew about it so my husband and I called it our secret spot. Well the secret’s out – that place is always crowded in the summer months. But that view and vibe are unbeatable in our town. I love it there!

6. Advice for Hoboken Girls?

Be yourself and remember your friends should bring out the best of you. Don’t succumb to “blending in” – there’s too much of that in this town already. There’s someone for everyone out there, but you can only find that person by being true to yourself – and quirks are cool.
