Only a couple of summer weekends left–boooooo! Let’s make the best of it, however, as there are TONS of things to do around town coming up. Here’s everything:
1. “Abstracting Nature” Exhibit at Hob’Art Gallery — Friday, August 8-Sunday, September 7
“Exodus” by Alberte Bernier
Abstracting Nature”, an exhibition by Alberte Bernier and Olga Guerra will open to the public from August 8, 2014 – September 7, 2014 at hob’art co-operative gallery, 720 Monroe Street, E208, Hoboken, NJ. “Abstracting Nature” puts in perspective a selection of artwork in which each artist illustrates her expressionist interpretation of nature. A reception to meet the artists will be held on Saturday August 9, 6:00-8:00pm. On Sunday August 17 at 3:30pm, the artists will talk about their artwork and welcome questions from visitors. Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday, 1:00-5:00pm, and by appointment. Free parking is available at the rear of the building on Jackson Street and is wheelchair accessible. 2. Food Truck Friday — Friday, August 8 at 4-8PM

Sponsored by Work it Out, the event will feature yummy food, fitness classes, and a picnic under the stars. Classes include Upper Class with Kristin at 5PM, Tight End with Kristin at 6PM, and AbSalute with Alex Joy at 7PM. 3. Hudson Vibe Dance & Fitness: Erasing the Violence at BOA Nightclub Friday, August 9th from 7-9pm
4. Katherine Hooker Trunk Show — Saturday, August 9 at 11AM-3PM

4. The Red Doors are Open at Maxwells 9.13.34 – Saturday, August 9-Sunday, August 10 12PM-7PM

There’s lots to be excited for–The Red Doors are open this weekend and behind them are many new gorgeous additions to the vintage wonderland of Deb’s shop!
5. FREE Kayaking on the Hudson River – Saturday, August 9th from 9am-12pm and Sunday, August 10th from 5pm-9pm
What’s more fun than a little kayaking journey along the Hudson? Enjoy an early morning kayaking trip on Saturday or an evening boat ride on Sunday. So much fun! Details here.
