They are looking to feature stories of friends or relatives who at one time in their lives were extremely close, but have gone on to live drastically different lifestyles and have lost touch over the years and are looking to reconnect…and live a day in the life of the friend they’ve lost.  If you’re looking to reconnect with your long lost BFF- this is the perfect opportunity to do it! Send an email to Karen.Hopkins@leftfieldpictures.com with your name, age, location, brief bio, your story, and a few photo. Online “Friending” App

leaflets

A new app called Leaflets is putting a new twist on online-dating by extending it to those looking to make new friends. Leaflet is meant for individuals who do not have a lot of free time and are not interested in making friends in the bar or club scene, but are looking to meet new people. Leaflets creates nearby low-key outings {think dinner, drinks, bowling, game nights} and up to 5 users can decide to attend. After that, all attendees discuss details in a group chat and then the event is set and ready to go. After the night is over, each attendee provides feedback on the others and mutual connections have a chance to hang out again. This sounds like a great opportunity for anyone new to a city or someone trying to make some new friends. The app can be downloaded on Google Play or in the App Store.

The Salon by SoonDar Secrets Closes

Local all-organic salon, The Salon by SoonDar Secretshas sadly closed it’s doors. The Salon was unique in Hoboken in that all products use in the salon- including hair color, hair products, and even gel nail polish- were organic. We never like hearing about local businesses closing up shop, especially ones we loved like The Salon. We wish their whole team the best and will be on the lookout for other organic options around town.
