My name may be Oscar but I am no grouch, in fact I am the life of the party. There is one thing that I love more than anything and that is playing; wand toys, tunnels, toy mice, you name it. When it comes to getting attention I show no shame, you can often see me lying on my back, being silly or having a toy mouse in my mouth just so you will notice me. I get along with my other cat buddies in the cattery but because of my playful nature I would do well in a home without small children. I love to sit in the window; my friends at the cattery think I am looking for birds. I will let you in on a little secret, I am not looking at the birds; I am looking for the person walking in that will finally take me to my forever home. Please stop by Liberty Humane and just look for the cat with the biggest personality and heart in the cattery.

My name is Jackie, and I am an adorable petite lady. I have quickly become a favorite among the volunteers and staff here at the shelter. All my new human friends say they love spending time with me. Hooray! Because I sure love spending time with my new human friends.

I walk so nicely on my leash, although every now and then I give my leash a little nibble. This is a very easy habit to correct, and I am super smart!

I’m a dignified senior lady with a lower energy level, but I also have a spunky side.  You should see me jog or play with toys and balls. No toy lasts long with me! I also really enjoy rolling on my back in the grass, digging holes in the dirt, and sitting in the laps of my favorite people. I think I’m just the perfect mix of cuddly sweetness and fun-loving girl. I would do beautifully in a home with children, where my gentle ways and silly side would be well appreciated.

I am an independent lady, so I would be quite content being left home alone while you are at work or running errands. I would be the perfect dog for any person who thinks they don’t have enough time for a dog … I don’t need a ton of exercise, I am mellow and love to cuddle, I am housebroken, and I’m mostly looking for a nice, soft spot to lay my head. Maybe that place is with you? I sure hope so!

Thanks for reading about me! Please come visit me soon and find out why my human friends call me a “spicy senior.” I can’t wait to meet you!

Stop by this week to the Liberty Humane Society, (located at 235 Jersey City Boulevard in Jersey City), and give these adorable animals a visit!
