  • The Best Hoboken Happy Hours Of The Week {April 17, 2017 Edition}

    As Easter brunches come to an end {boo-hoo}, we can rejoice in the fact that, yes, summatime will be here before we know it {not to mention, this 80-degree weather is quite the tease}. As the temp gets hotter, so do the happy hours in the Mile Square – from game nights outside at Pier 13 {which just opened, BTW} to comedy shows, to booze + seafood, we bring you another week of the happiest hours in Hoboken.

    Monday – April 17th

    Wing Monday at 1 Republik

    via

    Half priced wings + $12 select pitchers + $5 green tea shots = bye-bye, Monday blues. Kick off the week the right way at 1 Republik, with unbeatable specials from 7 PM – close {don’t miss power hour from 4-5 PM, either: $1 Miller Lite drafts + $3 green tea shots}.

    Tuesday – April 18th

    Take Back The Night at Stevens Institute of Technology

    We’ve decided to give a whole new meaning to “happy hour” this Tuesday night: join our Hoboken Girl Helps team, Stevens Institute of Technology, CarePoint Health, and the rest of the community for Stevens’ 3rd annual Take Back the Night event. Help raise awareness + put an end to sexual violence by participating in a march from Walker Field to Pier A for a follow-up ceremony. In addition, there will be guest speakers, a performance, and a candlelight vigil — not your conventional happy hour idea, but we’re always happy to make a difference!

    Wednesday – April 19th

    Spring Fever Happy Hour at Cadillac Cantina

    Another awesome opportunity to make a difference: Cadillac Cantina is hosting a Spring Fever happy hour this hump day, and proceeds go toward the Hoboken Shelter. Help out the community for just $25, and score half-priced drinks, apps, and the chance to win cool prizes from 6:30 to 9:30 PM.

    Thursday – April 20th

    Happy Hour at Stingray Lounge

    via

    If work is keeping you from enjoying brews by the bay, Stingray Lounge might be the next best thing. On Thursday evening, enjoy half-priced draft beers + .50 cent Littleneck clams. Who needs the shore when we’ve got killer happy hour spots in the Mile Square? {Well, we do, but this is a good substitute until you can get DTS.}

    Friday – April 21st

    Happy Hour at Hudson Tavern

    via

    Hudson Tavern has happy hour specials for every preference — on Friday evening from 3-7 PM, enjoy half-priced bottled + draft beer, house wines, or house cocktails {accompanied by $5 nachos, wings, quesadillas, or other super-cheap apps: see the full happy hour menu here}. They also have half-priced bottles of wine with the purchase of any 2 entrees {date night idea… hint hint}.

    Saturday – April 22nd

    Dogfish Head Record Store Day at Cork City Pub

    via

    If you’re into records + all that jazz, this vintage-y happy hour at Cork City Pub on Saturday night is totally for you: from 7-9 PM, enjoy happy hour specials + spin your favorite records {no, seriously, you can BYOR — bring your own records} in lieu of Dogfish Head’s annual beer-drinking event to support local record stores {not to mention, you’ll even have a chance to win a DFH turntable}.  Call us old-fashioned, but this happy hour is music to our ears. More info on the event can be found here.

    Sunday – April 23rd

    The Last of the Comedians at Willie McBride’s

     Eliminate Sunday-scaries with a laugh at Willie McBride’s this weekend: Doug Cafran is hosting a comedy show on Sunday at 7:30 PM, featuring some of the funniest local comedians. The show is only a $5 cover, and there will be zero drink minimums.
