  • The Best Hoboken + Jersey City Happy Hours of the Week {July 10, 2017 Edition}

    Summer seems to just be flying by – but at least happy hours are year-round. From date night to Lucky 7’s BBQ Festival and Midnight Market’s Foodie Party, you’ll be sure to mark your calendar this week with plenty to do. Time to get out and enjoy all of the happy hours Hudson County has to offer this week:

    Monday – July 10th

    $6.95 for Burgers after 7PM at The Shep {Hoboken}

    Every Monday, The Shep has #BurgerMonday where all of their burgers are $6.95 after 7PM. Can’t beat it!

    $5 Drink Specials at The Ale House {Hoboken}

    Start your week off that The Ale House and hang out before their happy hour ends at 10PM. Their drink specials include $5 Down East Cider, Sam Seasonal, and house wines. Stick around for open mic night from 8PM – 11PM. If that’s not your style, play a game of free pool, shuffleboard, or darts.

    $5 Bar Menu at LITM {Jersey City}

    LITM is hooking it up on Monday with a $5 bar menu and karaoke at 9PM. Their happy hour runs from 5PM – 7PM with $5 martinis + house wines and $4 select beers. They also have $5 sliders and fries and $7 mules.

    Tuesday – July 11th

    Party With Purpose 5K + After Party  {Hoboken}

    Party With Purpose is hosting a huge 5K in Hoboken this Tuesday to benefit local youth charities like Hoboken Boys and Girls Club and the Jubilee Center. Following the race, they’ll be throwing an after party along the pier. It’s an event you don’t want to miss while supporting a great cause!     Along with a ton of fun games, Barcade also has a great happy hour on Tuesday. Drink specials run from 12PM – 7PM including $2 off beer + well drinks, $5 house wines, $8 Fisherman’s Brew + Four Roses shot. As for food, from 12PM – 3PM they also have any $7 beer, pretzels , and sandwich for $10. Grab 1/2 off small plates from 3PM – 5 PM.

    Wednesday – July 12th

    Date Night at Celebrate Life Studio {Hoboken}

    It’s time to rumba on Wednesday! Grab your S.O. or just a friend and head over to the Celebrate Life Studio on 1200 Park Ave. for their Date Night from 7:30PM – 9PM. Dance instructor Diego Mesa will be there teaching “the sexiest of ballroom dances” — the Rumba. They’ll also be serving appetizers, chocolate-covered strawberries, and sangria. Date night = can’t miss this week.

    $1 Sliders at Zeppelin Hall {Jersey City}

    Zeppelin Hall celebrates Hump Day with $1 Sliders from 4PM – 7PM on Wednesday. Choose from cheeseburger, pulled pork, or brisket and hang out in their cool space. It’s the perfect BBQ-filled spot for your mid-week pick-me-up.

    Thursday – July 13th

    Support a Cause at Pier 13 {Hoboken}

    Hudson County CASA {Court Appointed Special Advocates} is hosting a party to benefit local foster children at Pier 13 this Thursday. From 5PM – 10PM join them at the pier to support a great cause. Enjoy Pier 13 specials like $13 sangria and punch pails and $13 buckets of Narragansett lager.

    Jersey City SLAM at Tea NJ {Jersey City}

    Jersey City Slam is hosting “Where I Am From Open Mic” at Tea NJ on Thursday. Performers will share poems or stories from oppressed and ignored communities to raise awareness. Doors open at 6PM and the free show starts at 7PM. They recommend coming early as a full house is expected. A great way to immerse yourself in something new — with bubble tea in hand, of course.

    Friday – July 14th

    Live Music at Finnegan’s {Hoboken}

    Pump up your Friday with live music at Finnegan’s at starting at 9:30PM. Compliment the night with 3 fish tacos and any draft for $13.

    Foodie Nightlife Experience at Midnight Market {Jersey City}

    Friday night is all about food, drinks, and music and that’s exactly what you’ll find at Midnight Market’s Foodie Party at the Harborside Financial Center in Jersey City. Starting at 6:30 PM, this 21+ event is $5 at the door and will be a haven of yummy eats from 20 different vendors for $5 or less {cash only} for the tasting. There will also be $5 drinks all night and a DJ until midnight.

    Saturday – July 15th

    $2 Mimosas at Maxwell’s Tavern {Hoboken}

    Parents – if haven’t taken advantage of their kids-eat-free-every-day summer special {12 years or younger} then now’s your time. For every $10 you spend, your little one gets a free meal from the kids menu. Other than that, Saturday is a great time to stop by Maxwell’s for $2 mimosas, $3 bellinis, and $4 bloody marys + manmosas during their brunch hours from 12PM – 4PM.

    Lucky 7’s BBQ Festival {Jersey City}

    It’s not summer without a summer block party, obviously. Lucky 7 is making it happen with their Rock ‘N Roll BBQ on Saturday at 1PM. 2nd Street in Jersey City will be filled with drinks, bands, and BBQ. Bring the whole family – they’ll have a “kid zone” with games and a bounce house.

    Sunday – July 16th

    Brunch Buffet at The Madison {Hoboken}

    The Kitchen Step is where you should be on Sunday morning in Jersey City. From 10AM – 12:45PM you can snag their avocado toast for $7 orrrr we recently raved about their chicken and waffles {as seen above} which is a must-try. You’ll be in brunch heaven.
