Mother Nature may be confused with this summer weather sticking around, but nonetheless, we’ve got a bunch of fall-themed events and happy hours to get you in the autumnal mood. From pumpkin finger painting night to the Hoboken Pizza Fest, here’s what’s in store for you with the best Hoboken and Jersey City happy hours of the week:

Monday – October 9th

Wine Tasting at Sátis {Jersey City}

Vepo Clean

Historic Paulus Hook Association {a non-profit advocating for neighborhood safety and preservation} is hosting a wine tasting at Sátis Bistro {212 Washington St.} in the mezzanine from 7-9PM. Each ticket will include a wine and food tasting — one white and one red. Support a good cause and sip some wine, but space is limited to 30, so RSVP here.

Gerry Rosenthal and Friends at Village Pourhouse {Hoboken}

Hobbs Inc

Grab some friends and jam out at Village Pourhouse {205 1st St.} this Monday night. Hosted by Gerry Rosenthal Music, this week’s Artist-in-Residence is Jaime DeJesus. Don’t miss out on $3 beer specials and buy one get one entrees. Event runs from 9PM-12AM.

Tuesday – October 10th

Paint and Sip at The Iron Monkey {Jersey City}

Painting is a great way to relieve stress… and so is wine. Cork and Canvas is hosting an event this Tuesday at The Iron Monkey {99 Greene St.} with Paint and Sip. A talented artist will lead the class in a beautiful fall-themed painting while you grab a drink, or two {or three} and some food. This event runs from 7:30-9:30PM, so be sure to grab your tickets here.

AXIS School of Dance

Jersey City Bluegrass Jam {Jersey City}

The Bluegrass show is at Ed and Mary’s {174 Coles St.} this Tuesday at 8PM. Grab some drinks and enjoy live acoustic music, hosted by Dan O’Dea and Eagle Ridge. If you are interested in joining the rotation, message dan@dansbands.com because jamming is by invite only.

Finger Painting Night at Wicked Wolf Tavern {Hoboken}

Come out to Wicked Wolf {120 Sinatra Dr.} on Tuesday for some adult style finger painting. A $30 ticket will include all materials and exclusive drink specials for participants. Wednesday – October 11th

Come Out and Mingle at Ainsworth {Hoboken}

Wednesday, October 11th is National Coming Out Day, an internationally observed day in support of the LGBTQ community. The Stevens Alumni Association welcomes all to attend their “Come Out and Mingle,” event at Ainsworth {310 Sinatra Dr.}. Eat, drink, and support Stevens LGBTQ community from 6-8PM. Admission is free.

SchmoozaPalooza at Harborside Atrium {Jersey City}

Who loves tasty food, music, and supporting local businesses? We do. Get all that and so much more by coming out to SchmoozaPalooza at the Harborside Atrium {330 9th St.} hosted by the Hudson Country Chamber of Commerce. Thursday – October 12th

Lion + Tiger at Maxwell’s Tavern {Hoboken}

Head to Maxwell’s {1039 Washington St.} on Thursday to catch a live set of Lion + Tiger. Keep the drinks and good vibes flowing at this no cover event. Doors open at 8:30PM and the show starts at 9PM.

Oktoberfest 2017 at ZeppelinHall Biergarten and Restaurant {Jersey City}

Continue the Oktoberfest celebration with Student/Partner Alliance at ZeppelinHall Biergarten {88 Liberty View Dr.} this Thursday. Student/Partner Alliance Young Professionals Network is a local non-profit organization that supports mentoring and scholarships for economically disadvantaged high school students in several New Jersey cities. Learn about this great organization and enjoy food and drinks provided by their awesome sponsors. This event is free and all are welcome to attend.

Friday – October 13th

Rocky Horror at the Jersey City Cemetery {Jersey City}

 

Being in a cemetery on Friday the 13th in October — now that’s spooky. If you’re seeking an authentic Friday the 13th experience, head over to the Jersey City Cemetery {435 Newark Ave.} for a special viewing of Rocky Horror from 7:30-10PM. Tickets will be sold at the gate, but cash only. As always, audience participation and costumes are encouraged and feel free to get there early for good seats.

Band of Make Believe at Willie McBride’s {Hoboken}

Band of Make Believe is performing live at Willie McBride’s {616 Grand St.} on October 13th. As always, choose from a wide variety of great beers and some classic Irish pub specials. Show starts at 11PM.

Saturday – October 14th

90s Bar Crawl {Hoboken}

Get your velvet chokers and jelly sandals ready because the 90s are back this weekend in Hoboken. This bar crawl will not be short of drinks, hit 90s songs, good times, and scrunchies. Your ticket will include a signature bar crawl cup, a welcome drink at the registration bar, and drink specials at various Hoboken bars. Get all the details and tickets here.

Jersey City Art and Studio Tour {Jersey City}

All across Jersey City on October 14th, more than 200 art events will be taking place, featuring the artwork of 500+ artists. Explore new galleries, enjoy interactive installations, live music, film screenings + more. Sunday – October 15th

Lowrider Connection Club 5th Annual BBQ {Jersey City}

The Lowrider Connection Club is hosting their 5th annual BBQ. Come out to 20 Theodore Conrad Dr. in Jersey City for a day of food, drinks, friends, and really cool cars. This event is open to the public, so stop by for some good times.

Hoboken Pizza Fest at Hoboken Elks Lodge  {Hoboken}

This is not a drill — Hoboken is actually having their first ever Pizza Fest. Head to Hoboken Elks Lodge {1005 Washington St.} on Sunday for some of the best pizza in Hoboken, live music, drinks, and free Ben and Jerry’s ice cream {still not a drill}. There will be two sessions, one from 11AM-2PM and the second from 3-6PM. This event is expected to sell out quick so get your tickets fast. Talk about a Sunday Funday.
