Irish Eats in Hoboken

It’s no surprise that when it comes to St. Patrick’s day dinner, the Mile Square’s Irish pubs are in full-blown celebration mode. The Dubliner {96 River Street} is opening at 11 am on the 17th and is serving up Guinness with corned beef and cabbage plates as well as corned beef sandwiches all day long. Onieal’s {343 Park Ave} will have a themed menu including corned beef sandwiches and fries, a corned beef and cabbage entree served with potatoes, and $6 green tea shots. Sláinte!

Live Irish Music at the Hoboken Library {500 Park Ave}

Irish singer and musician Ian Gallagher is putting on a special concert guaranteed to get your Irish eyes smiling at the Hoboken Public Library on Thursday, March 16 at 7 pm. He’ll entertain the audience with Irish classics, new songs, and stories about the history of Ireland.

St. Patrick’s Week at Houlihan’s {1200 Harbor Boulevard, Weehawken}

All week {through Friday the 17th} Houlihan’s in Weehawken is offering St. Patty’s specials including Irish pot roast, fish and chips, and Bailey’s creme pie, with the addition of corned beef and cabbage on the 17th itself. The restaurant will also host bagpipers and giveaways {bring your luck of the Irish!} throughout the celebration.
