• The Spine & Sports Health Center {Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture}

    Whether you’ve been hunching your back at work, hurt yourself at the gym, or just had an accident, the last thing you want to do when you have an injury or have been experiencing pain is to go through pain for a while — or worse — go through surgery. Luckily, we have a trusted, professional source of doctors right here in Hoboken:  The Spine & Sport Health Center, which will get you back to feeling like yourself in no time with top-notch doctors and cutting-edge sports medicine — minus orthopedic surgery. As soon as you walk in, you’ll feel right at home with friendly staff and welcoming decor. Here’s a bit more about this local Hoboken {+ Jersey City and Bayonne} health center that offers chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy, and more:

    The Spine & Sports Health Center has been around for eight years, but you still might not be as familiar since the center just moved into the Monroe Center {720 Monroe Street, C208} about a year ago. And with two other locations in Jersey City and Bayonne {note: the Bayonne location only offers pain treatments}, you can get the treatment you need if you’re closer to either of those areas, too. The center is open everyday from 9AM- about 9:00PM, so it’s super convenient to pop in for pre- and post-work appointments. Saturday, they’re open 9AM-1PM.

    ^Dr. Alex Visco, Medical Director

    Dr. Alex Visco is the medical director {above} who founded the practice. This is just one of the aspects that really makes Spine Sports HC stand out, as it was founded by and is actually run by medical doctors — not to mention has three pain doctors, one nurse practitioner, six physical therapists, several aids, and two rotating chiropractors at the Hoboken location. Basically, you’re getting the highest quality service and in a luxury setting {because please, that exposed brick/expansive layout/hardwood floors? J’AMAZE}.

    Here are the main offerings:

    • Interventional pain management
    • Sports medicine
    • Physical therapy + rehabilitation
    • Chiropractic care
    • Acupuncture

    The best part? The Spine & Sports Health Center’s goal is to perform non-invasive methods as an alternative to orthopedic surgery. Because no one has time for a surgery between the procedure, pain, and recovery time. You’ll be paired with a Board Certified doctor to develop a personalized treatment plan for you. If you’re a first-time patient, you’ll go though patient orientation, so you know what you’re getting into  before you dive in.

    The main goal of the practice is to ensure that you’re getting taken care of in the most effective and easiest way possible. Think of it as a one-stop-shop to getting back on your feet {quite possibly, literally}. The best part? Doctors can prescribe medications on the spot.  After all, there’s no need to make an injury any more stressful than it already is.

    Whether you want to try out chiropractic treatments to ease headaches, ultrasound-guided injections for joint pain, or another alternative to surgery, there’s something new to try. No matter your injury, you’re covered here — and minus the hassle of surgery. {But if you really need it, you know you’re in good hands with recommendations from actual doctors in-house.}
