Walking through Jersey City on a perfectly sunny day, The Warehouse Cafe at 140 Bay Street in Jersey City peaked our interest with its crowd of outdoor visitors along the tree-lined corner {in honesty, we were trekking to Bucket & Bay for some delicious gelato, but this place looked too good to pass up}. This coffee shop is located near the waterfront in Jersey City, and its industrial vibes boast a beautiful space and wide variety of #eeeeeats, so of course we had to share more. Here’s a peek inside our visit to The Warehouse Cafe:

The History

Seven years ago {!} this beanery opened up shop — and as businesses come and go around the Grove Street area, this spot has maintained a loyal presence in support of the coffee {and breakfast} needs of Jersey City residents.

The Vibe

The communal tables and high-top outdoor seating features a simplistic setting, incorporating greenery for a relaxing experience for everyday commuters and workers alike. They even have endless water for their crowd of long-term visitors.

As an added bonus, the witty wifi signage makes for the perfect mix of funny and efficient in this simple yet to-the-point set up.

The Menu

The menu features Milk Sugar Love {our fave!}-baked treats and famous Balthazar Bakery breads {reasons worth going in itself} as well as their honey or dulce de leche lattes.

Additionally, a variety of organic teas are available in both hot and iced options. If you’re not a caffeine connoisseur, opt for their morning-to-afternoon foods: including avocado toast or tuna open sandwich {but be prepared to wait, their delicacies take time}.

Prices range from $3.50-$5 for coffee, $4-$8 per baked good, and $8-$10 for a sandwich. {See menu above for more pricing options.}

The Variety

We’ll let the Lackawanna coffee speak for itself — the brew options are aplenty in this sweet spot serving all types of hot/cold caffeinated and non-caffeinated bevvies with soy, almond, and fresh milk varieties. We encourage all nearby coffee and tea drinkers {+ local carb-enthusiasts} to check out The Warehouse Cafe in Jersey City. They also have DAMN good avocado toast.
