Dr. Alyza Brevard-Rodriguez | Owner of SW3AT Wellness + The Other Side Dispensary
Alyza Brevard-Rodriguez is a multi-talented entrepreneur, brand maven, and veteran in Jersey City. She is the founder of SW3AT Wellness at 317 Central Avenue in Jersey City and The Other Side Dispensary at 36 Congress Street in Jersey City. Alyza is devoted to breaking the recurrence of generational adversity by empowering underserved communities with ownership, resources, education, and inspiration, in addition to uplifting the LGBTQ+ community.

Christina Kizer | Founder of Chrissy The Crystal Indigo
Christina Kizer is the owner of Chrissy The Crystal Indigo, a metaphysical shop in Hoboken located at 423 Washington Street. Christina is a gifted Jersey City resident who positively impacts the community thanks to her healing gifts and community events. She is originally from Chicago and comes from a lineage of Cherokee Indian women who were skilled healers working closely with medicine and herbs.
Denise Woodard | Founder + CEO of Partake Foods
Denise Woodward is the Founder + CEO of Partake Foods, an allergy-friendly cookie company that champions food inclusivity. Partake partners with organizations like No Kid Hungry to fight food insecurity and HBCUs to continue opening doors for Black students and entrepreneurs.

Issa Sow | Funder of Issyra Gallery
Issyra Gallery is an art gallery on the ground floor of the Neumann Leather building located at 300 Observer Highway, in Hoboken. Issa displays his own paintings, with ancient African-inspired sculptures he has collected over the years. Issa also hosts several music and art-related events for the community.
Jordan + Joelle Hernandez | Founders of Double Dough
Jordan and Joelle, twins, media moguls, book authors, and volunteer coordinators of Hoboken Girl Helps make delicious and creative sugar cookies from scratch. Double Dough takes custom orders throughout Hudson County and hosts several community pop-ups throughout the area, bringing the community together with sweets.
Jordan Lacey | Founder of Light The Candle
Jordan Lacey is the founder of Light The Candle, a non-profit organization designed to bring joy to children in the foster care system by making them feel special on their birthdays. What started as a high school club grew into an initiative that has expanded with over 35 chapters in middle and high schools, as well as involvement from community groups and corporate teams. Council President Joyce Watterman is a dedicated community leader, serving as the first African American woman elected to the role in Jersey City.
