You may have already heard of this hidden gem when one of our very own Hoboken girl team members tried it. It’s an interactive live “escape the room” {within 60 minutes!} game designed for groups of 4-6 players. Being locked up in a room with someone you’re into where you get to play detectives together and show off your smarts? Sounds pretty ideal.

3. Barcade

As the name suggests, it’s part bar, part arcade, with a focus on classic video games and American craft beer. It’s a nod to the good old days before Pokemon Go and speakeasy lounges became all the rage. With a late night food menu served until 1am, it’s the perfect place to not only begin your night, but possibly end it, too.

4. Trivia Nights

Think you can quote any character from Friends, Game of Thrones… or Hamilton? Then put your money where your mouth is. With multiple bars and restaurants to choose from, including Maxwell’s Tavern, Little Town Social, House of Que, Black Bear and Wicked Wolf, there’s a trivia game available for literally every night of the week.

5. Murder Mysteries

While there is no official location for a murder mystery dinner in our beloved Hoboken or Jersey City (here’s to hoping!), there have been a few events held in the past in our neighborhood. Teak on the Hudson hosted a special event on Friday the 13th this year, while Sanai in JC used to host them regularly. Of course, you’ll hear it here first the next time there’s a murder mystery for you and your date to solve!
