Most days, being in a fall state of mind takes a little bit more than a PSL and a chilly breeze. To spark our seasonal interest, all it took was a stroll down Washington Street to get that festive fall feeling — pumpkins, sweaters, scarves — October we are ready for you!

*note: our tiny succulent friends definitely helped put us in the right state of mind for this post*

Now, for the most important part of the summer-to-fall transition… staying warm can be synonymous with being trendy {dare if you will}. We all know bundling is our friend in the snow-filled months of winter, but layers also contribute to a happy and healthy – let’s not get sick because we didn’t wear a coat – fall season.

Another big win for the fall season is finding the perfect pair of boots, and after this past summer, we can’t wait to avoid weekly pedicures and slip into a pair of comfy boots…

SHOP LOCAL: Peper & Parlor {938 Washington Street}

These purple lace-up boots were hard to ignore when walking through the door at Peper & Parlor, and their {bootie and hat} neighbors were equally as tempting.

SHOP LOCAL: Peper & Parlor {938 Washington Street}

These adorable decorated denim were spotted at Peper & Parlor, and we’ve also noticed a few embroidered Pilcro pairs hit the hangers at our local Anthropologie as well.

If you’re looking for the standard classic denim – we assume you’ll find a pair in this shelf, which resembles a denim library if there was such a thing, at Ruby and Jenna uptown.

Now here’s a trend we didn’t see coming back anytime soon, but here we are, telling you that belt buckles are back in style. We know, Lucky Brand were the major players in the buckle-business back in the day – but now we can find this trend hitting shops everywhere, including right in Hoboken.

Another accessory trend we saw at Dear Hannah were the recent blogger-obsession of fringe earrings and also miniature state necklace – how cute is the little New Jersey shape, amiright?
