While Hoboken has many awesome local coffee shops, it’s not often you find one as unique as this off-the-beaten-path gem. Located at 155 Sixth Street, The Turquoise Cup is the perfect marriage of a modern coffee shop and a grown-up version of the pottery studio where you threw all your best elementary school birthday parties. Yes, that’s correct, this spot is a coffee shop + pottery studio all in one — and they’re pretty darn great at both. The Turquoise Cup recently relocated {from the Monroe Center to 155 Sixth Street} and we’re giving you a peek inside the new space — check it out:

With bright colors, the smell of fresh coffee, and being surrounded by cool art, The Turquoise cup is the perfect spot to work for the day or for a fun night out with friends — two completely opposite things, we know, but that’s why we love this spot.  Nevertheless, the shop boasts ample seating, outlets, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Regular hours are from 7AM to 6PM Monday-Thursday, 7AM-9PM on Fridays, 8AM-9PM on Saturdays, and 8AM-6PM on Sundays.

Unleash your inner Picasso and join The Turquoise Cup for one of the many art classes they offer — clay handling for kids, sculpting for beginners, and pottery wheel date night are just a few of the fun options. If you want to do your own thing, they offer “Open Studio” where you can go in at any time during store hours to paint your own pottery masterpiece — weekends can get crowded, though, so make sure to reserve a table if you’re heading there on a Saturday or Sunday.
