Sometimes {all the time?}, we just need a laugh. And that’s exactly what the Mile Square will be doing for a week straight thanks to the 9th annual Hoboken Comedy Festival beginning on Monday, September 24th until Sunday, September 30th, 2018. On the agenda: Raise money for a local charity, give new comedians a shot, let veteran comedians do their thing, and have fun with friends at this city-wide annual event. We’ve got all the info you need about the festival below, plus the complete schedule of events:

About The Hoboken Comedy Festival

While the event is pretty much all about laughs, the Hoboken Comedy Festival donates to charity, too. The fest donates $1 per person to a specific charity, this year being the Liberty Humane Society {for the 5th straight year}. Comedian and festival founder, Dan Frigolette shares “Animal well-being and human well-being go hand in hand, especially for artists. You would be hard pressed to find a group of artists that aren’t responsible for dogs, cats and variety of pets and those animals are both inspirations for art and facilitators of acceptance for the artists, and it feels darn good to give back.”

Alumni of the festival include some pretty impressive names — Amy Schumer, Artie Lange, Hannibal Burress, Pete Davidson, Todd Barry, Ted Alexandro, Judah Friedlander, Kurt Metzger, Nate Bargatze, Drew Michael, Yannis Pappas, Dan Soder, and many more.
