Who or what is your biggest source of inspiration?

My dad — he was an entrepreneur too. I started working for him at the age of 7, and he taught me the value of hard work. Although he has since passed, anytime I am facing a difficult business decision I think about what he would have done or what he would advise me to do. He was my role model and to me a great success.

What has been the highlight in your career/life so far?

In my career {the highlight} is probably right now, it’s a dream come true to have these three office locations and seeing my team evolve and succeed. Their energy is great and their dedication and hard work inspiring. In my personal life, being lucky enough to have an amazing husband and happy, healthy kids.

How long have you lived in Jersey City and what does a typical day look like for you?

I grew up in Jersey City and then came to Hoboken after graduating from college, so about 17 years —— more than half my life!

A typical day is fielding calls/texts/emails from my staff and my personal clients. I have meetings and conference calls set up with my managers and other staff as well. My daily goal is to make sure my team is feeling appreciated and guided accordingly. I sometimes also have showings scheduled for my personal clientele. I look to attend broker open houses to stay on top of the markets I am present in. I am in each office location throughout each week, so a lot of planning takes place on the weekends. In between all of that I am juggling my kids’ schedules!

The highs are finding the right home for my clients or when one of my agents seals a deal they have been working hard on. Nothing beats that satisfaction of knowing you found someone a home that they will create memories in and being a small part of that is a great feeling.

The lows are all the paperwork and accounting necessary to running any business.

What is your favorite restaurant in Hoboken? JC? How about your fave boutique?

Anthony David’s in Hoboken — I can always count on them for a great experience for any meal of the day. In Jersey City, Hamilton Inn is my go-to spot. The staff and the owners are great people who always make you feel welcome.

In Hoboken it’s a tie between Luna Rosa and Galatea, I love the girls who work there and I can’t go in without buying something unique! In JC, it’s Kannibal. I love that they have “Jersey City” branded items by local artists. They make great gifts!

What do you love most about Hoboken + JC  and what is your favorite thing to do in the area?

Its charm and the ability to walk anywhere within 20 minutes! I love Liberty State Park, it’s a great place to bring our kids and dog. The views are spectacular and it’s just a beautiful, serene place. In Hoboken, I love the uptown waterfront walkway, there is such a great vibe there. In Jersey City, Hamilton Park — my grandmother lived there so I have a lot of great childhood memories in that neighborhood.

What is your favorite place to work out in Hudson County and where do you go out with friends?

Devotion Yoga, it’s so peaceful and the staff is wonderful. Some of my other favorites in Hoboken are Dino and Harry’s for a classic steak, Bin 14 for drinks and small plates, and Augustino’s for Italian. In JC, Lighthorse Tavern is a classic and Mathew’s Food and Drink has a great atmosphere. Most of my social outings revolve around a good meal and wine!

What is something you think needs to come to Hoboken or Jersey City?

I started a not for profit, “Boutique Gives Back”, and I really want to get even more involved with the local communities we work in. I think in both cities we need more support for our homeless population, perhaps a larger facility and more programs to help them.
