9/11 Memorial Service: Friday, September 11th at 6:00PM

Government officials will be in Pier A park on Friday evening to pay tribute to the 57 Hoboken residents and their families who lost their lives in the attacks on September 11th, 2001. The public is invited to attend the service to honor the lives lost. Whether you’re able to attend this service or not, the Hoboken Girl team encourages you to take a moment to honor our country and all the lives lost during the tragic day 14 years ago.

Hoboken Italian Festival: Friday, September 11th at 7:00PM-Sunday, September 13th at 11:00PM

Artist Maker Market: Friday, September 11th from 1-10:00PM

This Friday, Downtown Jersey City presents Artist & Maker Market. The market partners with Groove on Grove for this end of season event.  “American Dreamers” Play and Happiness Show: Friday, September 11th – Saturday, October 10th

The Jersey City Theatre Center presents Happiness- a series of art, film, theatre, and community dialogue- running through October 10th. The series seeks to bring an understanding to the role of happiness in our lives. This weekend, playwright Leo Romeo’s American Dreamers premiers at the newly upgraded Black Box Theatre at Merseles Studios. The play is a dark comedy about how navigating through a 21st century world that values power, wealth, sex, and fame far more than genuine happiness. Tickets are $24 if purchased in advance or $28 the day of the show. For showtimes and more information click here

Country Night at Maxwell’s: Friday, September 11th at 7:00PM

Maxwell’s summer concert series continues with Casey James this Friday. Join them from 7-10:00PM for the tailgate party featuring live music and drink specials before the start of the show. Tickets are $10 and the event is 21+.

Walk of Hope for Infertility: Saturday, September 12th at 8:00AM

Screen Shot 2015-09-10 at 4.26.45 PMThis weekend, the RESOLVE’s 1st Annual Tristate Walk of Hope will be held at Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park. The walk represents the infertility journey—a series of small steps, each one filled with hope and a reminder that no one should walk on this journey alone Check-in begins at 8:00AM and the Walk begins at 9:00AM. All Walk activities will be completed by 11:00AM. The event takes place rain or shine! The event will feature massage chairs, a bounce house, and a Ben & Jerry’s Truck! Liberty Humane Society Presents Bayonne Barks: Saturday, September 12th from 10:AM-3:00PM

This Saturday the Liberty Humane Society presents Bayonne BARKS, a one-day event at City Park in Bayonne. They’ve jam-packed the offerings for the day, including low-cost pet microchipping, a BYO Dog wash {Bring your pup, and they’ll provide the supplies to get him squeaky clean}, music and open mic, ice cream, face painting, bounce house, games and activities for kids, and a name your price pet adoption promotion. Their mobile adoption unit will be on site and we’ll have dozens of adorable, adoptable cats and dogs all ready for their forever homes!

Prime Cycle’s 1st Birthday Celebration: Saturday, September 12th – Sunday, September 13th

Empire Cares Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser: Saturday, September 12th from 7-11:00PM

Empire Realty Group hosts this black-tie event on Saturday as a fundraiser for cystic fibrosis research. Nick Costantino, one of the realty group’s sales associates, deals with the disease on a daily basis an serves as an inspiration to all those hosting the event. The event will feature food tastings from favorite local restaurants including Madison’s Bar and Grill, Anthony David’s, and Blue Eyes Restaurant with beverages sponsored by Giannone Wine & Liquor. Attendees will enjoy live music, dancing, and a silent auction hosted at the W Hotel. Tickets are $125 per person and can be purchased here. Attend an amazing event that benefits a wonderful cause!

Wicked Wolf Football Sundays Launch Party: Sunday, September 13th at 1:00PM

Head to the Wicked Wolf early on Sunday, September 13th for the launch of the Wolf Sundays Party with the first round of Sunday football games this season. They’ll be showing the Jets at 1:00PM and the Giants at 8:30PM with over 30 HDTVS. They’re feature $20 Coors Light buckets and towers and $4 Coors Light drafts all day and all night, along with our NEW brunch and lunch menu, available from 11am- 11pm!
