Fourth of July is definitely a holiday meant to be enjoyed with family and friends at a bbq. However, that doesn’t mean Hoboken doesn’t have great events going on this weekend. We’ve got the list of local events and fireworks displays below. Have fun this weekend!

Featured Weekend Event

Jersey City Freedom & Firework Festival: Saturday, July 4th from 12P-10:00PM

jersey city freedom and firework festival

Initially we were bummed to hear that the annual Macy’s Fireworks were once again not on the Hudson, but then we remembered how fabulous the fireworks were last year in Jersey City. Celebrate the Fourth of July at Liberty State Park in Jersey City for the 2nd Annual Freedom & Firework Festival. This year the festival will benefit Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen soldiers. There will be carnival rides, food, live music and {of course} fireworks.
