Decision Maker’s Breakfast Roundtable: Friday, March 27th from 8:30-10:00AM

Join the Hudson Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee for their first Government Affairs event of 2015.  This month’s meeting is focused on Jersey City and how to “Make it Yours”.
They’ll be joined by Bob Sommer, Marketing Professional, who served most recently as a Senior Advisor to Jersey City Mayor Steven M. Fulop and Marcos Vigil, recently appointed by Mayor Fulop to the post of Deputy Mayor for Economic Development. Mr. Sommer was instrumental in leading the City’s efforts to create the recent Make it Yours campaign launched in 2014.  He will will present an overview of the next phase of the campaign. Liberty Humane Society’s Adoption Event: Now-March 31st

For the remainder of the month of March, in partnership with best Friends Animal Society, Liberty Humane Society is hosting LOVE COMES IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES, an adoption promotion on three of our dogs: Abigail, Kerry, and Nils.  Adoption fees for these wonderful, lovable, adoptables will be reduced to $75— one hundred dollars less than our usual adoption fee for adult dogs!  All of our adoptable pets are spay/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so all you have to do is meet your match, fall in love, and go home with your new best friend the same day if you’re approved as an adopter!

Free Tanning Weekend at Planet Sun: March 27th-29th

It’s been a very long winter and it’s time for all of us to get that summer glow back. Head to any Planet Sun in NJ this weekend {there are three in Hoboken – read about HG’s experience here} and take advantage of their free tanning weekend. Stella & Dot Trunk Show at Hair Cult: Saturday, March 28th from 12-4:00PM

While stella & dot isn’t found only in Hoboken, they certainly have some very cute pieces. Jennifer Sutton will bringing them to town thsi weekend at a pop-up in Hair Cult on Washington Street from 12-4:00PM. Stop in and check it out.

 

 Bar Crawl for Relay for Life: Saturday, March 28th at 1:00PM

The Relay for Life Commitee of Hoboken, NJ will be hosting a bar crawl to benefit Relay for Life. 100% of proceeds will go directly to suppporting the research and efforts of the American Cancer Society. The bar crawl will be done in the South End of Hoboken, NJ and the starting bar is Green Rock Tap & Grill at 70 Hudson Street, Hoboken, NJ. The event will then move to Biggies, Mulligans, The Dubliner, Cadillac Cantina, Texas Arizona, and Hoboken Bar & Grill. Tickets for event will allow for drink specials at all bars and there will be raffles and giveaways throughout the day. Cheers to a great cause!

 

Ride for a Cause at Work it Out: Sunday, March 29th at 12:00 & 1:00PM

Be inspired and motivated by Sheillah, a parent of a child with autism in the Wallace ABA Program, Special Events Director for the Hoboken Family Alliance and instructor at Work it Out, as she hosts two amazing Ride classes at River at 12pm, 1pm & 2pm. The minimum donation to ride is $50 and all proceeds go directly to the Wallace ABA Program and Global Autism Project. Hoboken Restaurant Crawl: Sunday, March 29th from 1-5:00PM + mixer from 5-7:00PM

We know there’s a ton of fabulous restaurants in Hoboken and this weekend you can try a bunch at once. The Hoboken Restaurant Crawl will take place on Sunday March 29th from 1pm to 7pm. Participants will enjoy tasting from over 20 participating restaurants from 1pm to 5pm. An after party will take place from 5pm to 7pm so participants can gather and share highlights of their crawl. If participants get their ticket stamped at 5 or more restaurants they will have a chance to win raffle prizes including gift certificates to participating restaurants. Tickets are $20 and can be purchase by clicking here.

 

Massachusetts Military Hero Fundraiser at Maxwell’s: Sunday, March 29th at 4-7:00PM

Join Maxwell’s for an afternoon of music, friendship and goodwill to support a great cause! This event will feature a live acoustic performance by the incredibly talented musician, Kieran Sullivan. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund.

Easter Egg Hunt at Elysian Park: Sunday, March 29th from 11am-2pm

Berkshire Hathaway Home Services-Hudson River Properties presents The First Annual Sunshine Kids Easter Egg Hunt to benefit The Sunshine Kids Foundation (a non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids with cancer) This is an event filled with fun for all! Two Easter Egg Hunts will take place that day, games,face painting,caricatures, raffles, music, refreshments provided, and photos with the Easter Bunny himself!  Donations: $5 per Child (Includes an Easter Egg Basket for Child)
