Hello Hydration Sidebar

We love the ladies at Lovely Happenings– and if you attend this event we’re sure you’ll love them too! As you walk around the event taking in all of your lifestyle how-to’s while you shop and socialize, they’ll provide you with light refreshments and cocktails.  You can even stop in the Lovely Happenings photobooth to take some memorable snapshots with your girlfriends.  The event will be held from 11:30AM-4:30PM, but guests can feel free to come and go as they please. The event will feature a raffle for our guests to win prizes and giveaways and all guests will leave with a gift bag. Tickets will be available at the door for $45 or can be purchased for $40 in advance by clicking here.

Hoboken Cares Happy Hour: Friday, October 9th from 7-10:00PM

Hobbs Inc

Hoboken Cares will host a fundraising happy hour on Friday at O’Donoghue’s located at 205 1st Street. The event will feature a live band and raffle. The $40 Open bar includes soda, wine, draft & bottled beer, as well as liquor {excluding shots, top shelf and red bull}. For those not interested in the open bar, there is a $10 cover charge. All profits will go directly to Mustard Seed Communities for the care and support of Jamaican orphans born with severe mental and physical disabilities, and AIDS. Click here to donate or for more information.

Maxwell’s Country Concert Series: Friday, October 9th at 7:00PM

Maxwell’s Country Concert Series presents JT Hodges with Rachel Allyn this Friday. Come out before the show, from 7-10pm, for a tailgate party with live music and drink specials. Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance and $25 at the door. You must be 21 or older to enter.

Hudson County Fair: Friday, October 9th at 5:00PM- Monday, October 12th at 9:00PM

Take a trip out of town this weekend and check out the First Annual Hudson County Fair this weekend.  The event will take place on at James J. Braddock Park on Bergenline Avenue in North Bergen. The event will include plenty of food, music, amusement rides, and many other fun activities. For more information click here. 

Bark in the Park with Liberty Humane Society: Saturday, October 10th from 12-5:00PM

Liberty Humane Society’s Bark in the Park will be held on this weekend from 12-5:00PM in Stevens Park.  This is the shelter’s largest fundraising event of the year.  The event features a one-day dog walk, fundraiser and fair.  The fun will include music, vendors, low-cost microchipping, and adoptable dogs and cats on site. There will be face painting, games, crafts, and a bounce house for children to enjoy. A 50/50 raffle will be held as well. This organization does so much for local animal welfare. Make sure to stop by and support them.

Rummage and Ruffage Harvest Day: Saturday, October 10th from 8:00AM-2:00PM

Rummage and Ruffage is celebrating fall with a pumpkin patch this Saturday {don’t forget their HIIT classes by Iron Plate Studios}! They’re teaming up with Hoboken Family Alliance to present their Harvest Day. Saturday on the lawn at 6th & Willow beginning at 10:30, kids can enjoy picking and decorating a pumpkin, an apple cider donut and a cup of apple cider – all for $5 per child. There will also be a harvest photo area for a little family pic. Then at 12:30 the Hoboken Public Library will be back for storytime!  And don’t forget to get your morning stretch in at Yoga on the Lawn starting at 8:00AM

Oktoberfest at the Pilsnerhuas: Friday, October 9th-Saturday October 24th

The Pilsenerhuas & Biergarten continues it’s fourth Annual Oktoberfest this weekend. From now through October 24th, the Biergarten will celebrate with music, beer, and a fantastic traditional menu including Oven-Baked Käseschnitte and Schweinshaxen Für Zwei {served on Friday, Saturdays, and some Sundays}. Diwali Festival of Lights: Saturday, October 10th 4-11:00PM

Surati for the Performing Arts along with the Hudson County Office for Cultural and Heritage Affairs and The City of Hoboken are hosting a festival of lights this Saturday. The event will feature live entertainment, special performances by the Surati team, The Ramayana and the Story of Diwali, vendors, fireworks, arts, crafts, cash bar, surprises, DJ, dancing, community fun and festivities. Come enjoy a fun evening while participating in this traditional Indian festival.

Jaret’s Stuffed Cupcakes Grand Opening Event: Sunday, October 11th from 12-2:00PM

This Sunday, rain or shine, Jaret’s Stuffed Cupcakes is having their grand opening party from 12-2:00PM. Located at 1401 Hudson Street, this cupcake shop blows away the rest with their deliciously decadent cupcakes stuffed with all types of yummy extras. They’re giving away FREE stuffed cupcakes to the first 100 attendees and also featuring their “pupcakes” for all your furry friends. A face painter will be on hand for kids. So fun… Welcome to the neighborhood!

All That Jazz Music Event: Sunday, October 11th at 3:00PM

Local Jazz musicians Pamela Ross, Tina Bouey, Grace Ho, and Mark Dover will be performing a free concert on Sunday afternoon at The Hudson School Theatre Space on 6th and Park. The event will feature jazz music, tango, and other types of music as well. Email danoly@primereg.com to make a reservation.
