It’s a summer full of outdoor festivities, fun events, and good happy hours. Some of our favorite Hudson County spots are hosting days filled with live music and a celebrity appearance to terrarium making a parade of swimmers treading along the JC shoreline. So brunch it up and enjoy the parties – here are your happy hour hang outs for this week in Hoboken and Jersey City!
Monday – July 17th
Beer Specials and Live Music with Jeff Greenspan at Village Pourhouse {Hoboken}
Until 4PM, you can grab lunch for $8.95 at Village Pourhouse. This special comes with a beer or your choice of $4 drafts or $5 cocktails. If you stop by at night, from 9PM – 11:55PM they’ll be hosting live music by Jeff Greenspan with $3 beer specials and BOGO entrees. You can also take part in their happy hour from 4PM – 6PM at the bar.
Summer Menus at Satis Bistro {Jersey City}
Satis Bistro has a new dinner and brunch menu this summer. Get a taste of France with brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11AM – 3PM which includes any brunch dish and a Bloody Mary, mimosa, or bellini for $19.95, or stop by for dinner from 5PM – 10PM.
Tuesday – July 18th
Prizes at 8th Street Tavern {Hoboken}
The NJ Lottery Director, Carole Hedinger, will be at 8th Street Tavern from 3PM to 7PM on Tuesday. From 5 PM to 7 PM you can play Quick Draw with Greg T. from Z-100 and have the chance to win Quick Draw prizes. Enjoy their happy hour from 4PM – 7PM with $3 Narragansett Cans, $4 23oz Big Beer Drafts, $6 Moscow Mules, $4 Green Tea Shots, $5 off frozen margaritas, and buy one get one specials on apps.
Live Music with Dylan Dunlap at Fox and Crow {Jersey City}
Catch some live music at Fox and Crow from 8PM to 11PM on Tuesday night. Dylan Dunlap, a singer from LA, will be performing some indie-rock. F+C offers a great selection of drinks and food, and if you stop in between 5PM – 7PM, you can get $1 off cocktails and mixed drinks during happy hour.
Wednesday – July 19th
Plant Night at House of ‘Que {Hoboken}
House of Que’s Apple Ginger Sangria
Grab a drink and make a terrarium this hump day from 7PM to 10PM at House of ‘Que during their monthly plant night. You can secure your tickets here. Show up a little earlier and grab a drink during happy hour running until 7PM. They have $3 Coors Light drafts + Pabst Blue Ribbon cans, $4 Shiner drafts, and $5 house wine + Tito’s vodka.
Newport Beach Party at Newport Green {Jersey City}
Mid-week beach party? Count us in! Head over to Newport Green from 6PM – 8:30PM for the 15th Annual Newport Beach Party. They’ll have a free live concert with local bands while you enjoy their beach and the NYC skyline.
Thursday – July 20th
Frosé and The Fat Jewish at Pier 13 {Hoboken}
The Fat Jewish is making an appearance at Pier 13 from 7PM – 10PM, and while he’s there you can snag $20 bottles of White Girl Rosé, $5 frosé cocktails, and $5 cans of Babe Rosé. Pier 13 is also having their food truck frenzy from 4PM – 10PM.
New Cocktail Menu at Red {Jersey City}
Head over to Red at Raval at 4PM for 1/2-off tapas and $5 select drinks. Try their new dinner and cocktail menu and listen to some live music from Sleepy + Boo, Tommy Conboy, and Carrera B2B Vuche starting at 9PM.
Friday – July 21st
Summer Nights at Kolo Club {Hoboken}
Head up to the second floor of Pilsener Haus Biergarten where you’ll find DJ Bryant + DJ Nick Demaso spinning at Kolo Cub. Starting at 9PM, you can also grab a beer from their craft and draft menu and choose a cocktail. You’ll have additional music options downstairs at Pilsener Haus from 8PM – 12AM with Rhyme + Reason.
Brunch at GP’s Restaurant {Jersey City}
This Italian spot has a serious brunch special waiting for you – fluffy ricotta pancakes. Starting at 11AM, get a $5 signature Bloody Mary, peach bellini, mimosa, screwdriver, or sangria, and be sure to try one of GP’s yummy Italian bites.
Saturday – July 22nd
Blue Lizard Performing at Maxwell’s {Hoboken}
Whether it’s night or day, you have choices at Maxwell’s on Saturday. If you’re feeling brunch, Maxwell’s has it from 12PM – 4PM with $2 mimosas, $3 bellinis, $4 Bloody Marys + Manmosas. At night, Blue Lizard is performing at 9PM.
Forever Young Festival at Lutze Biergarten {Jersey City}
ChicpeaJC and HayOner are hosting the Forever Young Festival, on Saturday from 12PM – 10PM. It’s $5 at the door with some of the proceeds going to the Content Creators Academy. Enjoy outdoor music and fun while grabbing food and goodies from various food trucks and vendors.
Also on Saturday in Jersey City, Marketplace JC is happening at Magnolia Landing from 11AM – 4PM. There will be over 20 vendors and a section called “Neighborhood Row” that will showcase local businesses.
Sunday – July 23rd
Two Hours of Unlimited Mimosas at Coco Havana Cafe {Hoboken}
From 11AM – 3AM you can get bottomless brunch at Coco Havana Café for $27 with two hours of unlimited mimosas, bellinis, and manmosas. It’s the perfect place to spend a summer Sunday Funday.
Lady Liberty Sharkfest Swim at Liberty State Park {Jersey City}
Want to participate in a swim around Lady Liberty? From 7:30AM – 10:30AM, hundreds of swimmers will gather on Liberty Island to swim around Ellis Island and the Jersey City shoreline.
