December is just about here, and you know what that means…a lot of credit card swiping, parties, and gift wrapping. But don’t worry, we have some great happy hour events to distract you from your declining bank balance — from the Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl to Yappy Hour, here’s what’s in store for you with some of the best Hoboken + Jersey City happy hours of the week:

Monday – November 27th

Sip n’ Soap at The Dubliner {Hoboken}

The Dubliner {96 River St.} is hosting a Sip n’ Soap this Monday by Kraftylab. Guests at this event will be able to make some fun homemade soaps while sipping on their favorite happy hour beverage. Instructors will guide the soap-making process and all the yummy-smelling ingredients will be provided. The event will run from 7-9PM. Tickets are limited so get yours here quick!

Tuesday – November 28th

*Wanderlust* Finger Painting at Wicked Wolf Tavern {Hoboken}

Hobbs Inc

This month Wicked Wolf {120 Sinatra Dr.} is painting the world! On Tuesday night starting at 7:30PM, join in the messy finger painting fun with a “Wanderlust” themed art piece. Enjoy $5 sangria jars, $4 Devotion Vodka and flavors, and $3 wines. Contact dmaresca1@gmail.com to reserve your seat.

JC Songwriter Sessions, Songs, and Conversations at Fox and Crow {Jersey City}

Talk music with a few big names in the business, sing along to some of their favorite songs, and enjoy a wine tasting at Fox and Crow {594 Palisade Ave.} this Tuesday form 7-10PM. *Bonus*: the wine tasting is free and starts at 7PM. The songwriters conversation will start at 8PM.

Wednesday – November 29th

Live Bluegrass Music at The Archer {Jersey City}

Come out to The Archer {176 Newark Ave.} on Wednesday for live acoustic music, drinks, and fun. This week’s special guest is Bobby Baxmeyer on banjo. Admission is free and the night starts at 7:30PM.

“Grapes You Can’t Pronounce” Wine Tasting at Grand Vin {Hoboken}

Grand Vin {500 Grand St.} is holding a walk-around wine tasting this Wednesday evening from 7-9PM with delicious wines that you won’t be able to pronounce {Zweigelt Neusiedlersee is just one example if you were curious}. There will be live music by Mike Buscio starting at 8PM. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door, get yours here.

Thursday – November 30th

Happy Hour at Urban Coalhouse {Hoboken}

Hoboken Happy Hours is hosting a special happy hour this Thursday at Urban Coalhouse Pizza and Bar {116 14th St.} starting at 7PM. This is a free event but you must RSVP to receive the great food and drink specials. Guests can look forward to $3 domestic drafts, 1/2 price sangria, $5 off any artisan pizza, and 1/2 price meatballs {sounds like a party}. The kitchen will close at 10PM, register here.

Karaoke Champs at DoShe Korean BBQ {Jersey City}

Compete to be the next karaoke champ Thursday night at the basement of DoShe Korean BBQ {8 Erie St.} starting at 9PM with ChicpeaJC. There will be cash prizes, $6 beer and wine specials, and tons of fun. There is a $5 admission at the door.

Friday – December 1st

The Rock Show at Park Tavern {Jersey City}

Get ready for a night of rock music, art, and delicious food at Park Tavern {575 West Side Ave.} on Friday, December 1st. Jersey City native band, Drum and a Tantrum, will be performing. The party starts at 8PM, free admission.

December Yappy Hour at The Ale House {Hoboken}

December 1st means Yappy Hour at The Ale House {1034 Willow Ave.} once again. Make sure to get your $5 wristband at the door for drink specials and all proceeds from the wristbands will benefit the Liberty Humane Society. All pups are welcome!

Saturday – December 2nd

5th Annual Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl {Hoboken}

Everyone loves a good ugly holiday sweater party right? Register for the 5th Annual Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl at The Shannon {106 1st St.} on Saturday from 12-4PM. Whether you’re rocking a Rudolph sweater with a red light-up nose, or a Frosty the Snowman sweater full of snowflakes, all are welcome for a night of fun and drinks. Wristbands and maps will be distributed at the time of registration. Get your tickets here.

Stop, Drop, and Crawl {Jersey City}

Stop, Drop, and Crawl is the second ever first responder themed bar crawl and it’s happening this weekend in Jersey City. Everyone will make their way up Newark Avenue stopping along the way at some great bars and end up at White Eagle Hall for a concert featuring MoTHER, Ten Ton Mojo, and the Jersey City Firefighters Emerald Society Pipes and Drums. They will also be collecting toys for the FDJC Holiday Toy Drive at registration in exchange for drink tickets and giveaways. Each location will have awesome drink specials, raffles, and much more. Registration starts at 2:30PM at White Eagle Hall {337 Newark Ave.}. Don’t miss out on this great event, get your tickets here.

Sunday – December 3rd

Winter Wreath Design Class at Corgi Spirits {Jersey City}

Hosted by Corgi Spirits and Florious, come out to the Jersey City Distillery {1 Distillery Dr.} in the distillery’s lounge to decorate your personal holiday wreath. Guests will be able to try Corgi Spirits’ smooth gin while decorating their wreath with items like pinecones, fragrant cinnamon, gold cedar roses, and much more. This event is from 2-4PM. Make it Change Tour at Northern Soul Bar {Hoboken}

Laurelle and 3ple are on their first coast to coast tour in the U.S. and one of their stops is Northern Soul {700 1st St.} in Hoboken. Grab some drinks and support these two independent artists as they perform some great hip-hop and dance music. The show starts at 7PM and admission is free.
