The cool weather is here and we welcome the 2017 holiday season with open arms. There are tons of fun happy hours in Hoboken and Jersey City — not to mention events to look forward to this week, from the Gringos and Beaucycled Succulent Workshop to a Belgian-inspired Biergarten event at Zeppelin hall in Jersey City. Here’s what’s in store for you with the best Hoboken + Jersey City happy hours of the week:

Monday – November 6th

The Smoke Break Comedy Show at Abbey’s Pub {Jersey City}

Come out to Abbey’s Pub {407 Monmouth St.} for a night of endless laughs, raffles/prizes, and fun drink specials. Alex Gardes will host and six great comics from MTV, Last Comic Standing, and more will perform. Admission is free.

Cactus Cantina Succulent Workshop at Gringo’s {Jersey City}

One of our faves, Beaucycled, is teaming up with Gringo’s {12 Coles St.} for a Cactus Cantina Succulent Workshop. Each guest will receive a free drink of their choice, a succulent, a cactus-stem glass + supplies, and decorations – everything necessary to make a great arrangement. Tuesday – November 7th

175th Anniversary of Pilsner Urquell at Hudson Hall {Jersey City}

Join Hudson Hall {364 Marin Blvd.} this Tuesday to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Pilsner Urquell. Meet Pilsner Urquell’s Brewmaster Robert Lobovsky and drink from a keg of Neiltrovany – an unfiltered and unpasteurized Pilsner Urquell. Guests will also be able to catch the first ever screening of Brewmaster, a documentary about the craft beer movement. The movie starts at 8PM.

Wednesday – November 8th

Cacti-Terrarium Plant Nite at Jack’s Cabin {Hoboken}

Jack’s Cabin {61 Jackson St.} is hosting their first Plant Nite on Wednesday, November 8th {7-9PM}. Guests will be guided through making their very own Cacti-Terrarium in a glass bowl. Eat, drink, and don’t be afraid to get dirty. Get your tickets here.

Whiskey and Wax at Fox & Crow {Jersey City}

Fox & Crow {594 Palisade Ave.} is holding a Whiskey and Wax fundraiser for the 2018 Riverview Jazz Festival. Enjoy some drinks, learn about the jazz festival, and listen to DJ Prestige spin some great jazz on vinyl. Event runs from 7:30-10:30PM.

Thursday – November 9th

The Certain Persons Come Alive at PJ Ryan’s {Jersey City}

The Certain Persons are coming to their home venue in New Jersey – PJ Ryan’s {4 Path Plaza}! Sing along, dance, and have some drinks from 6-8PM.

Karaoke at Hotel Victor Bar and Grill {Hoboken}

Powerhouse Productions hosts Karaoke Night at Hotel Victor Bar and Grill {77 Hudson St.} on Thursday night. Sing all of your favorites with some great food and drinks. Karaoke runs from 8PM-12AM.

Friday – November 10th

DJ DyL at Birch {Hoboken}

DJ DyL is headlining Birch {92 River St.} this Friday night. Plan accordingly because this is going to be a fun night and Birch does not disappoint. Grab some drinks and dance the night away. Party starts at 10PM.

Belgium Comes to Jersey City at Zeppelin Hall {Jersey City}

Belgium is coming to Jersey City starting November 10th at Zeppelin Hall {88 Liberty View Dr.}. From November 10-26th, Jersey City is celebrating Belgium in honor of its great beer and cuisine. The menu, created by Chef Franco Robazetti, will feature famous Belgium dishes like Chicken Kip and Belgium waffle strips with nutella and marshmallows for dessert {holy wow}. Indulge in the culture without ever leaving JC!

Saturday – November 11th

Craft Beer and Whiskey Festival at Hoboken Elks Lodge {Hoboken}

November 11th is the 5th Annual Craft Beer and Whiskey Festival sponsored by Sphere Technology and The Liberty Humane Society. Each ticket will get you tastings of more than 20 different brews, a selection of whiskeys, and multiple options from small wineries. There will also be $5 small plates available from local restaurants. Snap cute pics in the photo booth, get in on the cornhole tournament, and have a chance to win awesome prizes and giveaways. Everything HOT: Pop-Up/ Sip & Shop Brunch at Marjai’s Lounge {Jersey City}

Wine Tasting to Benefit Family Promise of Hudson County at Hoboken Catholic Academy {Hoboken}

Relax this Sunday with some California wines and light snacks at the St. Ann Catholic Church Wine Tasting. This event will benefit Family Promise of Hudson County and be held in the gym of Hoboken Catholic Academy {555 7th St.} from 4-6PM. There is a suggested minimum donation of $25 at the door.
