The Boys and Girls Club of Hoboken has been drawing a “tremendous crowd” of local teens at their ‘Club Saturday Night,’ according to Gary Greenberg, CEO and executive director of the Boys and Girls Club.  The organization began extending their Saturday hours after community members gathered to discuss safety concerns following the tragic murder of a Hoboken teen in January.  Greenberg reports that 12-18 year olds are really embracing the safe haven, with roughly 40-60 kids coming each night to play basketball and video games.  The program has garnered a great deal of community support, and will hopefully be expanded in the future to include Friday nights and programming that interests more girls.
