Rumors have circulated around town recently that Hoboken’s Blimpie would be leaving the town it was born in. Thankfully, our friends at hMAG have set the record straight. While it’s true that the sub shop will be leaving their location at 110 Washington Street {where they’ve been for 20 years after relocating from their original location on 7th and Wash}, they won’t be leaving town. Instead, they’ll be relocating to a new spot at 14th and Willow, close to the new Harlow building that will also house Trader Joe’s. Glad to see they’ll be staying in town!

There’s no question that Hoboken and Jersey City boast some of the best views around of the NYC skyline. It looks like the Hyatt House, a 258-room Jersey City hotel slated to open in September in 2017, will be taking full advantage of them. A recent article on Jersey Digs announced that the hotel would include a 14th floor rooftop restaurant and bar that will have a retractable glass roof so people can enjoy the views year round. We can’t wait to hear details!

Om Sweet Home to Open Storefront

om-sweet-home

Our favorite vegan & gluten-free treats will soon be available in their very own store at the former location of Mezbah Meat Market {oh the irony!}.  Om Sweet Home, whose baked goods are available at various local Hoboken and JC favorite shops {and at HG Sweets Soireé events!}, will soon open a brick-and-mortar store in Cliffside Park. Dawn Pascale, owner & founder of Om Sweet Home, started with a more traditional bakery called Simply Home Goods before realizing that her passion lied in creating delicious baked goods that were also healthy and wholesome. We’re so happy for Dawn and the entire Om Sweet Home team! Can’t wait to come see the new shop located at 708 Anderson Avenue in Cliffside Park! 🙂
