• Hoboken Style: Post-Sandy Fashion

Power, heat, style. The boutiques are back in business. Thank goodness.

Most fashion destinations are back, ready to go, but my sincerest thoughts go out to Anastasia’s Accessories, which was badly flooded during the storm. To help with the efforts, visit their facebook page here. You can also donate to: RebuildHoboken.org to help our city!

Anyway, here are some of my fave pieces I’ve come across this week in the Boken:

1 Fifty Five  has a gorgeous color-blocked ensemble ready to go:

Feel The Piece sweater with the V in front or back + fold up Ballasox flats + one size Tees By Tina textured skirt….Pack it all up in this Lipault weekender!

Air Studios‘ cable knit and fox fur beanie from Fegore is absolutely adorbs! Pair with a scarf and gloves, which are also available at Air.

I also need that sweater – but that’s another matter.

Dear Hannah  has some chevron back by popular demand! Love.

Iconic Fashion Lounge has an amazing line called Left on Houston that has some new pieces in. I just loved this sweater. So chic!

The cowl neck mixed with an edgy pattern is the perfect mix with leggings or thin skinnies. Iconic also has a full section of fashionable menswear. Make sure you say hi to Lauren when you go.

Platform Boutique is back with RAILS leather minis.

This KENDRA Maroon/White Check and Black Lambskin WHITLEY Miniskirt is amazing. Perfect for a night out in HOB. You might want to go with tights with these temps though!

Sweet Nicholas is so ready for winter with elbow patches – ALL THE RAGE.

I’m obsessed with this coat. I just want to sew elbow patches on everything I own. I’m sure I’ll regret that in a season or two…but seriously, how fun are they!?

Word on the street is Sweet Nicholas is starting their online store soon too! And, 5% of all sales will be going to the Hoboken Relief Fund.

Townhouse has some fab fashion finds this week – accessories galore! Loving this gold and crystal-jeweled necklace. Plus a plum clutch. You know how I feel about plum (and bordeaux and amethyst…)

This season, I’m making a rule that this clutch goes with everything. Take it…or let me wear it. Also, Town House is donating 10% of sales to the Red Cross for the first two weeks post-Sandy.

Loving my Hoboken boutiques – so much diversity, style, and fun all in one square mile. So glad you are back! Make sure to tweet your Hoboken fashion finds to me! To get your boutique involved, email hobokengirlblog@gmail.com

Sandy can’t stop style in Hoboken. But make sure to donate to help our city – we still need so much help (and volunteers!): www.rebuildhoboken.org. xo
