    2. NJ Legislator Race at Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment Friday, June 13

Come cheer on your favorite legislator for a good cause!

Assemblyman Ron Dancer (R-12th District), Senator Richard Codey (D-27th District), Assemblyman Ralph Caputo (D-28th District) and Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande (R-11th District) will drive in a harness race with donations to the charity of their choice on the line. Four of Meadowlands’ top drivers, Yannick Gingras, John Campbell, Corey Callahan and David Miller, will be paired with each New Jersey leader as they race around the track after Race 1. The winning legislator receives $1,000 for his/her charity, and the other three participants will each receive $500 for their charity.

The donations do not end there, as guests will have the opportunity to donate to Center for Food Action during the Horseplay Car Giveaway. Donate $1 for the chance to participate in the horse toss after Race 9. Participants will receive a numbered rubber horse and attempt to throw it into the window of a moving car. A winner, randomly chosen from all the horses that make it into the car, will receive a $100 betting voucher. Each night’s winner will be entered into a grand prize drawing to win a brand-new Scion FRS on Hambletonian Day, which is Saturday, August 2.
