‘Tis the season for food, shopping, and spending time with loved ones. And what better way to celebrate the season than by visiting one {or several} of the holiday markets that will be popping up all across Hudson County {specifically Hoboken and Jersey City}! To make sure you don’t miss out on any of the fun, we’ve compiled a list of all the must-see holiday markets in Hoboken and Jersey City area for the 2017 season — with activities perfect for all ages and interests. Plus, some great spots to snag some one-of-a-kind and locally-made items for all the people on your list. Without further ado, here’s the full list of holiday markets in Hoboken and Jersey City happening this 2017 holiday season:

107 Bowers Art Gallery & Art Space Annual Holiday Art Market {Jersey City Heights}

Friday, December 1st from 6PM-9PM; see event page for additional times.

107 Bowers Gallery & ArtSpace located at 107 Bowers Street in Jersey City will once again be showcasing work that will be the perfect gift this holiday season. Paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculptures, and note cards will be available for purchase. The artwork will be hung in salon style and can be carried out upon purchase. As someone purchases a piece of artwork, another piece will go up on the wall. All pieces will be priced between $20 and $250.

GJC Artisan Holiday Market {Jersey City}

 

Saturday, December 2nd from 1PM-4PM  

Growing New Jersey is hosting their first annual Artisan Holiday Market. The fair will be held at Loosen Up 188 Newark Ave Suite 2 in Jersey City. One of kind products from King Krochet, Pina Design, Co, Jerk-n-Grind, and more will be available for purchase. For a full listing of vendors visit GJC’s event page.

AXIS School of Dance

Project: MARKET {Jersey City}

Saturday, December 2nd & 3rd  

The Jersey City Project will be hosting its fifth annual Project: MARKET at Jersey City’s City Hall Plaza located at 280 Grove Street. Visitors are encouraged to come and celebrate the start to the holiday season with 60+ local merchants selling clothing, home goods, arts and crafts, jewelry, and more. Local food trucks and a heated outdoor bar will be available.

Hoboken City Hall Holiday Crafts Fair {Hoboken}

Saturday, December 2nd and 3rd from 11AM-5PM  

Held at the Hoboken City Hall, located at 94 Washington Street, the Holiday Crafts Fair will feature unique handcrafted items from local artists & crafters. Products will include jewelry, fashion accessories, wooden home decor, hand knit apparel, holiday ornaments & gift-wrap, and much more. Many of the local artists will also be taking commissions for specialized gifts if you do not see the exact product that you wish to purchase at the fair. Mrs. Claus will also be onsite to provide face painting for the young shoppers.

Jersey City – Holiday Market & Craft Fair Hosted by HDSID {Jersey City}

Saturday and Sunday, December 9th & 10th from 12PM-6PM 

The HDSID, Artist & Maker Market, and Midnight Market NJ will be hosting their annual Holiday Market & Craft Fair and Winter Wonderland outside of the Grove street PATH station. Shopping will take place in their cozy ‘Shopping Village’ – a heated tent with live entertainment throughout the night. Local artisans and crafters will be selling art, jewelry, home accessories, clothing, and more. Left Bank Burger Bar will serving holiday cocktails and Midnight Market NJ will have assorted holiday treats. Outgift and Yelp will be providing swag-bags for all attendees and rumor has it that Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to make an appearance.

HCCC Holiday Market {Jersey City}

  

Sunday, December 17th 12PM-4PM  

Join Hudson County Community College for a family-friendly holiday market. The market will take place at the Culinary Art Institute located at 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City. Adults will have the opportunity to shop amongst booths from local artisans while their children enjoy a puppet show and magician’s performance. Additional activities will include face painting, balloon animals, holiday book readings, kids’ crafts, Selfies with Santa, and more!

The Hoboken Girl Holiday Market for Charity {Hoboken at the W Hotel}

Tuesday, December 19th from 6PM-9PM

Hoboken Girl’s first ever holiday market for charity will be held at the W Hotel in Hoboken. Spend the night shopping unique gift items from local designers, sponsored by Hoboken Girl, CarePoint Health, and give back at the same time. We’ll have a full list of vendors for you VERY soon, but in the meantime make sure to save-the-date for this holiday shopping extravaganza and secure your entry spot — there will be a small {$10} ticket fee to enter the market {complete with glass of bubbly}, and 100% of the ticket sales will be donated to the Dustin and Daniel Friedland Scholarship fund. This scholarship was created to honor two Hoboken residents and brothers who tragically passed away in 2013 and 2016. The money will be given to students at Hoboken High School to promote higher education opportunities via the scholarship fund.

The Holiday Market on Grove Street {Jersey City}

Monday and Thursday, December 18th & 21st 4PM-8PM  

Located outside the Grove Street PATH station, the Artist & Maker Market will be hosting a holiday market in conjunction with their regularly schedule farmer’s market. AMM’s open-air bazaar featuring locally created fine art and premium hand-crafted goods. Take advantage of this market’s later date to shop for last minute gifts! Locally made jewelry, candles, specialty food items, and more will be available for purchase.
