    ^Meet Dan {DJ Monopoli}

    The Basics

    Name: Dan Monopoli

    Lives in: Weehawken

    Interested in: Women

    Age: 29

    Height: 5’11

How long have you lived in the area?: One year

Where did you grow up/go to school?: I grew up in Clifton, NJ and went to Ramapo College of NJ

What do you do for work?: I’m a full-time DJ. I work with clients ranging from Royal Caribbean International and the New York Jets to Tone House. You can also catch me at some of your favorite nightlife venues in North Jersey and NYC.

    Deeper Deets

What three words best describe you? Charismatic, driven, and spontaneous

Describe your perfect weekend: Definitely a trip into NYC. Some wandering, maybe a workout or two. Sometimes it’s fun just to wing-it.

Tell us about your ideal date: Dinner, followed by drinks at nice venue with good music.

    Favorite Places Around Town

    Happy hour spot: Pier115, Edgewater

Place for dinner spot: Cellar335, Jersey City

Best Italian restaurant: Tough one, but Augustino’s in Hoboken has been my go to for YEARS.

Something you wish would come to the area: We kind of have it all here, but I would love to see some of these NYC fitness concepts hit Hudson County (i.e. Tonehouse, Rumble, Switch Playground).

    Bachelor Rapid Fire

Dogs or cats:  I’m definitely a dog guy. I have an amazing Pitbull named Mia..

    Uber or Lyft: Uber… everywhere.

Adventure vacay or relaxing vacay: ADVENTURE!

MDW and Labor Day – staycation or leave town: I’m usually all for travel, but when it comes to MDW + LDW, staycation it is.

    Celeb crush: Tori Kelly

You’re stuck in an elevator. Who do you hope you’re stuck with? Who do you hope you’re never stuck with? If I’m going to be stuck for a while, might as well get some value out of it. So I wouldn’t mind getting stuck with someone like a Gary Vaynerchuk or Tony Robbins. They’d keep a positive outlook, and I would just pick their brains the entire time. I’d make the best out of the situation, so I can’t think of anyone I’d particularly HATE being stuck with. But that being said, it would be rough getting stuck with someone who had serious BO, lol.

Michele mostly writes about her two favorite things - people and food. Though she’s been a Jersey girl since her mother danced on a chair at a Bruce Springsteen concert while 8-months pregnant, Michele’s life is anything but basic. During the day, she's a payroll specialist for small + local businesses, but on the nights and weekends, she's trying new places to write about and stopping for snacks along the way {so it's a good thing she's a marathoner and soccer player}. Aside from adding to her already extensive collection of throw pillows, Michele enjoys a good beer, nachos, and chillin’ with her kitties, Bo and Samson.
