Jersey City Medical Center (JCMC), an affiliate of RWJBarnabas Health, is partnering with the Hoboken Community Center (HCC), a nonprofit organization that provides essential services and spaces to support the well-being of the Hoboken, NJ community, to provide mental-health services to the HCC’s affordable housing residents free of charge.

Local leaders joined together to cut the ribbon on the Hoboken Community Center’s new mental health services at 1301 Washington Street in Hoboken for these local Hoboken residents. The 96 men who live in the HCC’s affordable housing program will now receive free mental-health services provided by JCMC staff.
Hoboken Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla, Assemblywoman Annette Chaparro, Commissioner Anthony L. Romano, JCMC President and CEO Michael Prilutsky, HCC Board of Directors member Anju Starace, along with other JCMC staff, HCC Board Members, members of the Hoboken City Council, and local residents were in attendance at the ribbon-cutting event and toured the center.

JCMC is also a state-designated stroke center, a regional comprehensive cardiac center, a perinatal intensive care center, a regional level 3 neonatal intensive care unit for critically ill newborns, and home to the most advanced robotic-assisted surgical program in Hudson County. JCMC, a provider of Advanced Life Support for Hudson County, runs 911 Medical Call Screening for Hudson County, and operates one of the state’s busiest EMS systems.
