Joboken {located at 23 Hudson Place – yes, literally right next to the PATH station} took the place of the newsstand that was there for many years. So, when offers were coming in to build something new in it’s place, it’s really not surprising that the guys behind Joboken won the bid.

Vepo Clean

Pete and Dan have been friends since they were in their teens, and being from both the restaurant business and the construction world, they teamed up to tear the old newsstand down, build a new foundation, and add a caffeinated face lift to the area next to the train station. Though from Queens and Long Island, Dan and Pete have had deep ties to Hoboken since college and knew this was the perfect place for their new venture. The area is packed with young professionals who are becoming increasingly well versed in all things quality coffee, which is exactly what Joboken will offer.

The storefront itself is small, but will offer outdoor seating come the warmer months {always a #win}, and a to-go window for late night ordering. Inside, the decor is clean, simple and streamlined, reflecting the no-frills-needed approach to coffee. When you’ve got good beans and you’re serving java classics like espresso, lattes, cold brew, and cappuccino, there’s no need for complicated orders that you have to rehearse saying before placing your order. Joboken does, however, offer alternative milk options such as almond milk and oat milk with more to come as they continue to grow.
