Spring is here which means one thing {besides the snow *hopefully* being gone} — concert season is officially upon us. Indoors or outdoors, it doesn’t matter so long as the music is great. Check out our round-up of live music events happening in Hoboken and Jersey City during the month of April.

Saturday April 7 — The Black Angels with Special Guests The Black Lips {White Eagle Hall — 337 Newark Avenue, Jersey City}

The Black Angels is a heavy-duty, psychedelic rock band that will remind you of the early Rolling Stones with an updated twist. Partnered with Black Lips — a flower-punk band hailing from Atlanta, GA this is a show not to be missed. Grab your tickets for the 8:30PM show here.

Saturday, April 7—DJ Oscar G {Hudson Ultra Bar, 16 Hudson Place, Hoboken}

The HUB presents Hoboken House Party with Miami’s DJ Oscar G making his Hoboken debut. Promising to spin the hottest tracks, DJ Oscar G is going to be bringing the beach to Hoboken early this year. The HUB will be open until 3am to ensure the party goes all night long.

Tuesday, April 10 — L7 {White Eagle Hall — 337 Newark Avenue, Jersey City}

Girl Power is one thing this band is not lacking. They have been on the come-back since disbanding in 2000 and reuniting in 2015 and they are bringing their American Punk/Alternative style to Hudson County. The show starts at 8PM.

Friday, April 13 — M. Ward {White Eagle Hall — 337 Newark Avenue, Jersey City}

Bringing together different American music traditions like folk, country, blues and even rock, this cool cat will be lighting up the stage solo this month. Sometimes, you can catch him alongside one of our faves, Zooey Deschanel, as a member of She & Him. The show begins at 8PM.

Friday April 13 — Tragic Remedy {Willie McBride’s — 616 Grand Street, Hoboken}

Head to Willie McBride’s for a dancing good time with the hits you know and love. Get ready to party along because their shows are know to be highly interactive. Show begins at 11PM.

Saturday, April 14 — Russian Circles {White Eagle Hall — 337 Newark Avenue, Jersey City}

A compilation of members from other bands, this trio joined to form a 3 piece instrument band that has been performing together for 14 years now. A guitar, bass and drums are all you need for this show to captivate you. The show begins at 8:30PM.

Wednesday, April 18 — Guided by Voices {White Eagle Hall — 337 Newark Avenue, Jersey City}

Lead by Robert Pollard on vocals, Guided by Vocals (also known as GBV) is making a stop in Jersey City as a part of their 13-city tour. They have already sold-out 2 cities and are well on their way to having a hugely successful road trip. The show begins at 8:30PM.

Friday, April 20 — CULTS & QTY {Monty Hall — 43 Montgomery Street, Jersey City}

One of Jersey City’s most eclectic music venues invites CULTS & QTY to the stage for a night of music and fun. These skilled songwriters and performers give their hearts and souls into each original song with quotable lyrics that will pull on your emotions. The show begins at 9:00PM.

Saturday, April 21 — Paula Cole {White Eagle Hall — 337 Newark Avenue, Jersey City}

Paula Cole has been performing for over twenty years. Her most recent release Ballads, is a twenty-song collection of songs from the 1930’s to the 1960’s that she has dedicated to her father. She loves jazz and folk and those styles can be found in her current music. This will be a seated concert and the show begins at 8:00PM.

Saturday, April 27 — The Latest Noise Live! {White Eagle Hall — 337 Newark Avenue, Jersey City}

White Eagle Hall & Excess dB present The Latest Noise Live! Starting at 8PM, the show will bring together 11 acts who have all recorded at Hoboken’s Silver Horse Sound. This is a one time event that is sure to get you rocking!
