  • Your Guide to Live Music in Hoboken + Jersey City {June 2017 Setlist}

    With Memorial Day behind us, it’s finally starting to feel like summer. In a perfect world, we’d all be sipping cocktails down the shore every weekend, but staying in Hoboken can definitely hold its own when it comes to summertime vibes. You might not be kicking back with your feet in the sand, but there really is no better way to celebrate the season than by checking out all the amazing live music Hoboken and Jersey City have to offer this month. From modern blues-rock to moving acoustic sounds, there are so many different rhythms to get into this month. We’ve rounded up some must see live performances and have given you some weekly staples so you won’t miss a single thing.

    June’s Live Music Setlist

    Thursday, June 22nd at White Eagle Hall {JC}: Fran Iero + the Patience take the stage at 8PM, doors open at 7PM. Get your tickets for $20 here.

    Sunday, Jun 28th at Pilsner Haus {Hoboken}: Lion + Tiger {a NJ based cover band} will take the stage at 1PM during the First Responders Appreciation Day {all police, fire, military, EMTs, etc. get 25% off their bill!}.

    Thursday, June 29th at Maxwell Place Park {Hoboken}: The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will bring their classical musical styling to the Mile Square at 7PM.

    Friday, June 30th at Palisade Lumber Supply {JC}: Live at the Lumberyard is part of JC Fridays with live bands, a DJ, food truck, and other street vendors. June’s concert date is the 30th from 7-10PM.

    Every Wednesday at the Grove Path Plaza {JC}: Groove on Grove is a free concert series happening from May – September featuring all kinds of live musicians, performances, and street vendors.

    Amphitheater at Sinatra Park {Sinatra Dr.}: Outdoor concerts every Thursday night.

    The Cuban {333 Washington St.}: Thursday nights – Havana Nights Live Music, and live music during Sunday brunch.

    Finnegan’s {734 Willow Ave.}: Go here Fridays + Saturdays for a solid music selection, Sunday open mic.

    Grand Vin {500 Grand St.}: A chill ambiance and live background music to boot.

    Green Rock {70 Hudson St.}: Live jams on Wednesday nights.

    House of ‘Que: {340 Sinatra Ave.}: A variety of live music throughout the month and Dueling Pianos every Saturday at 9PM.

    The Madison {1316 Washington St.}: Swing by for live jazz + Sunday brunch from 10:30AM – 2:30PM.

    Maxwell’s Tavern {1039 Washington St.}: Don’t miss the live music lineup at this iconic venue; Tuesday is open mic night.

    McSwiggins {110 First St.}: Every Monday + Wednesday bands go on at 9PM.

    Northern Soul {700 First St.}: Self-proclaimed adorers of music. Check site always and often for acts.

    Onieals {343 Park Ave.}: Wednesday night live music of’ free

    Porter Collins {1426 Willow Ave.}: Upscale + entertaining — music on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

    Willie McBride’s {616 Willow Ave.}: The best bands in the area play here on Friday + Saturday nights.

    The Archer {176 Newark St.}: Wednesday nights are bluegrass night with the Go Bailors at 7:30pm.

    Brightside Tavern {141 Bright St.}: Live jazz on Monday night and an open mic on Thursday – Sunday.

    Fox + Crow {594 Palisade Ave.}: Live music on Thursday, Friday + Saturday.

    Madam Claude {390 Fourth St.}: Live Gypsy Jazz every Tuesday + Thursday, featuring Manouche Bag.

    Moore’s Lounge – aka Bill + Ruth’s {189 Monticello Ave}: Blues + Jazz Friday nights and a meet the artist series on Sunday nights.

    PJ Ryan’s Squared {4 Path Plaza}: Great music every Thurs, Fri + Sat.

    WFMU’s Monty Hall {43 Montgomery St.}: Check out their serious lineup here.

    Zeppelin Hall {88 Liberty View Dr.}: Campy party bands play every Friday at 9PM.
