• The Mamas Behind More Please, M A M A

For those who think being a mama and starting your own business can’t mix, think again. Tara Lappen, co-owner of the local Instagram sensation, more please, M A M A {and Hoboken resident} runs the company with her BFF, Emily who resides in California. Despite the long distance friendship {and partnership} these mamas truly make it work and have an impressive following. Tara shared with us what it’s like to be a mom and an entrepreneur all at once, so keep on reading for some inspiration.

Together Tara and Emily have four little ones under the age of four. The company name derives from Tara’s wild three-year-old boy saying “more please, Mama” on repeat {and we’re sure many mamas out there can relate}. Tara runs on chai tea lattes and spin classes and is often found chasing her toddler boys around Hoboken. Emily has a toddler boy and girl who love to explore and has accepted that coffee will just have to be heated up multiple times a day.

    So, what is more please, M A M A?

More please, M A M A is a lifestyle and motherhood blog intended to share favorite products, simple and fun activities, plus adorable gift ideas. These two mamas love to do their research and make sure whatever they’re sharing about is easy to use, safe, and fits in with the modern mama. They hope that their hard work will reduce some of the grueling time it takes us moms to differentiate what makes a an item worth purchasing.

In the words of Tara, “It’s a welcoming community where you don’t have to be a chef or an artist to accomplish anything they post.  Their main goal is to keep it simple, because parenthood is complicated enough.”

During the holidays, they posted a project that was not only enjoyable for the little ones, but also helpful for the adults having to wrap. Pictured below you will see the final product which was wrapping paper covered in footprints. It really adds excitement to a winter day stuck inside while adding a sentimental touch to a holiday gift.

In addition to great craft and food ideas, they will feature things they have researched and truly believe in. You won’t see a product being posted just because they received a free sample. They want to make sure it is of highest quality before recommending it. They’ll also try to include a discount code, depending on the item.

After graduating from Fordham University with a degree in Journalism and Psychology, she pursued a career in the AdTech space. (think banner ads and website analytics) Although hard to say goodbye, she can now be found focusing on full time mom business and contributing to multiple blogs. She is always on the lookout for the next family fun event or mommy & me class. She is hoping her investigative nature will help other #hobokenmoms find fun things to do!
