Here in the Mile Square, we’re known for having a high density of bars and restaurants. But by the end of 2023, we’ll also be known for having an incredible amount of beauty service spots. In addition to our already-stellar lineup of service providers, over a half-dozen new businesses have opened or will open throughout the rest of the year. Let’s take a look at Hoboken’s class of 2023 beauty newcomers.
Aspen Prime Med Spa | 74 Hudson Street
Local entrepreneur Sandra Gail Frayna, PT founded Aspen Prime Medspa when she saw the need for an elevated beauty concierge service. Naturally detail-oriented, Sandra is focused on learning + growing with the aesthetics industry and has a passion for helping clients. This passion motivated her to open Aspen Prime Medspa as a haven where guests can indulge in beauty and wellness in a luxury setting. Read more about Aspen Prime here.

Attain Total Health | 720 Monroe Street Suite E407
Lauren Ben-Meir of Hoboken’s Attain Med Spa recently debuted a new part of her business called Attain Total Health — a “comprehensive health and wellness program designed to empower patients and provide them with knowledge about their own bodies so they can make educated decisions regarding their health”, per the website. Aside from health + wellness assessments, the program will also provide personalized treatment recommendations, referrals to providers, and more.
BOND | 425 Washington Street
The team behind Bond Salon in downtown will be opening a second location in Hoboken later this summer, called BOND. BOND will be located at 425 Washington Street. BOND will be an expanded studio space with the same offerings as Bond Salon, according to Michael Enzo Trivett founder of BOND. Stay tuned for more information as the space opens.
Coiffeuse | 601 Observer Highway
This brand-new salon opened in August 2023 and provides men’s and women’s cuts, color treatments, and extensions. We don’t know much about this newcomer, but we’re excited to learn more as the salon opens its doors.
Evolve Med Spa | 1025 Maxwell Lane
Newer to the scene in 2020, Evolve Med Spa has quickly become a go-to among beauty lovers in the area. Most recently this Hoboken-founded business outgrew its Grand Street space, and now has an uptown location at Maxwell with three times as many treatment rooms. The med spa has also expanded throughout New Jersey, NYC, and Maryland — and provides injectables, laser hair removal, facials, body treatments, and more. Learn more here.

Moxie | 1032 Washington Street
Moxie is a full-service salon and beauty bar founded by twin sisters Jenn and Jamie Dunn who have proudly grown their business throughout the tri-state area. Skin by EC | 80 River Street, Suite 2A

In addition to the name change, the rebranding of the studio included a refresh to the logo, colors, fonts, images, decor, and overall brand look and feel. The spa was founded by Erica Cerpa in 2007.
Skin Laundry | TBD

Skin Laundry, a laser facial chain, is perhaps the most elusive member of the class of 2023. HG was tipped off to its plans to open in Hoboken by two job listings on its website, but no location has been announced, and there is nothing mentioned about a Hoboken location on the company website. While the chain has locations throughout the US, a Hoboken location would be its first in New Jersey. Read more here.
