Now that the warm weather has {finally} arrived, we are more than ready to enjoy the sunshine and get our outdoor dining {+ drinking} on. Since we’ve already rounded up our top outdoor dining spots in Hoboken, it’s only fair we give our fave Jersey City some love, too. Read on for the best outdoor dining spots in Jersey City:

Biergartens

The Lutze

We can’t get enough of this outdoor Biergarten next to Harborside Financial Center with primo outdoor seating right along the Hudson River waterfront walkway and plenty of drink and food options {including frosé}.

Vepo Clean

Zeppelin Hall

Jersey City’s original Biergarten always has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and lots of German fare to nosh on while choosing from a large list of brews. Split a giant pretzel with 3 different dipping sauces or try a cheese bratwurst, topped off with a giant beer stein {sounds like a good Thursday night to us}.

Views of the Hudson

Hobbs Inc

Surf City

Perfect for a chill Saturday afternoon, Surf City has plenty of places to sit outdoors with a beautiful view of the Hudson. Enjoy a burger or one of several seafood platters including mussels, steamed clams or fish and chips and grab a fruity cocktail to get those oh-so-summery feels.

Piggyback Bar

With the revamp of the Atrium at Harborside Financial Center comes a bar with outdoor seating right alongside the Hudson. Featuring savory sandwiches including kimchi pulled pork and croque monsieur as well as disco phories {waffle fries with cheese curds, pho gravy and braised short rib}, the “Asian inspired bar food” here paired with the craft cocktails make Piggyback Bar a prime spot for happy hour.

Rooftop Dining

porta rooftop jersey city

Porta

There’s always plenty of space to hang on Porta’s rooftop, complete with two full bars and tons of seating. The special rooftop menu includes Porta’s delectable pizza, salad and plenty of yummy cocktails – our money is on the Pink Spritz {pink prosecco, Aperol, orange liqueur, and strawberries}.

Skinner’s Loft

The cozy rooftop at Skinner’s Loft is a lovely place to enjoy a delightful dinner or brunch any time of the week– we recommend the red velvet pancakes and a Bellini {you can thank us later}.

Grove Street Eats

Beechwood Café

With lots of cute outdoor tables set up on Grove St., check out Beechwood on a nice summer day for a refreshing iced coffee and any number of delicious brunch dishes {Huevos Rancheros anyone?} or a Bibimbap bowl with roasted tofu {yummm}.

More Express Thai Cuisine: Located on Grove St., this un-assuming BYOB Thai spot has outdoor seating street-side and more intimate seating in the back garden. The menu includes both sushi and Thai cuisine with plenty of affordable lunch specials.

Razza

Get here early to enjoy locally-sourced ingredients including fresh ricotta and handmade bread in an outdoor setting, and your choice of any number of appetizing artisan pizzas with Italian craft beer.

Patio Seating

Gringo’s Tacos

Located on Coles Street, this little taco place has plenty of outdoor seating in the large courtyard and lots of amazing eats including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options along with a host of mezcal options {and tequila tastings}!

The Cliff

The tiny little outdoor patio at The Cliff, a vegan and gluten-free eatery in the Heights, is just too adorbs for words, ya’ll. Enjoy a kimchi grilled cheese {on GF bread} or a fresh açai bowl with some fresh Matcha lemonade, and just chill.

Roman Nose

Fresh pasta and a quality wine list are made better by outdoor seating with a view of Grove Street. Indulge in pasta with traditional Bolognese sauce {topped with a drop of cream} and don’t forget to order some meatballs on the side.

Mathews Food & Drink

Always a guaranteed good meal, Mathews has lots of Bay Street seating so you can enjoy the outdoors while sipping on a cocktail and noshing on buttermilk biscuits and poblano rancheros for brunch.

Dolma

This Turkish eatery on Grand Street not only has an adorable interior but also has a cozy patio with plenty of outdoor seating. Get your fill of lamb and baba ghanoush {also with plenty of vegetarian options} or check out the brunch menu on the weekends.
