While we love hosting events for the ladies and are gearing up for our #HobokenGirlSocial events this year, February is kind of an awkward month. Fresh off the holidays with Valentine’s Day approaching — it’s hard to meet someone and not feel the pressure of V-Day coming around the bend. That’s why we’re joining forces with Grand Vin and the AVEC Dating App to host a speed dating and wine tasting afternoon for singles in Hoboken, so that you can meet some new people, drink wine, enjoy some small bites, and get out of the house {and not think about Valentine’s Day, at all}.

How does the event “speed dating” work?
You’ll arrive at 12:30 and get served a glass of vino. For a half hour or so, it’ll be casual, relaxed hanging at the bar with 20 Hoboken guys {ages 27-39} and 20 Hoboken girls {ages 25-39}. Then, for the next two hours {with a wine break in between!}, you’ll get to sit across from said 20 with some wine, bites, and have a little speed dating fun — all in a #nopressure environment. There will be questions to ask each other so the conversation will flow, and it will be great — promise.
And at the end of the afternoon, you’re free to get those digits if you please —just one rule: you can’t contact anyone until after Valentine’s Day {you’re welcome} 🙂

This event is brought to you by Grand Vin and the AVEC dating app, which is an outside-the-regular-dating-app-box dating app, matching you to dates based on your shared interests in events.
