  • Spotlight on Dear Hannah, Mayor Zimmer’s First Monday Makeover Stop!

On Monday, Mayor Zimmer got to take a little break from her duties for some primping and pampering in the HobokenGirl & Hoboken Host Committee’s First Installment of Monday Makeovers.

The video of the event will be posted on Monday on HobokenGirl, but in the meantime, I wanted to give you a little preview of the gems that dear hannah, (yes lowercase and comma intended!) houses…with a sneak peek at some of the Mayor’s outfits!

Meet Hannah (left, with employee Megan, right), owner of dear hannah, (ooh the comma worked there grammatically!) who moved to Hoboken in August from California –and opened her boutique in April. She’s one of the several boutique owners that I just looove to visit and see what new goodies she has. Her boutique is much different than its predecessor, Jesse James, which was a contemporary boutique with much pricier price tags. Hannah’s new digs is a fashionista’s mecca – with any and every style (in every color!) that you could dream of…from chevron to maxis to stripes to the color mint (see Hannah and the Mayor’s dress choices, below).

Let me be clear: the lower price tags don’t sacrifice quality for quantity. While there, you could easily find some amaaazingly colorful maxi skirts, jewelry, tanks, and other fabulous merch for + or – about $40. Yes, I said $40. Not $400. Your reaction to the amazing prices is probably similar to Mayor Zimmer’s reaction on Monday, who bought most of her makeover outfits – to a “WHOPPING” total of $150 (in which she bought a necklace, dress, jeans, etc)…and was beyond shocked, pleased, and dismayed. Pretty great if you ask me.

Here are some of the other gorgeous finds at dear hannah,:

    Loving these statement pieces!

I think my favorite part of the store is that it is so aesthetically pleasing – everything is laid out in perfectly color-coordinated fashion, with a table chock-full of jewels as the center point of the store. Even the cupcakes and cocktails from the Mayor’s visit went with a theme:

Red Velvet from Sweets in Hoboken!

In case you’re colorblind…the theme is YELLOW-including some delicious lemon-flavored cocktails!

During the Mayor’s makeover, Hannah strategically picked some colorful, trendy, yet tasteful items for the mayor – here’s a sneak peek of two of the three outfits picked (can’t show you the Mayor in full makeover/make-up etc until Monday, sorry!)

As you can tell, her husband was very pleased with the results! And with that photo – that’s all you get until next Mondaywhen we release the first of the Monday Makeovers video series on HobokenGirl! Stay tuned!

Make sure to stop in to say hi to Hannah of dear hannah, and tell her sent you… your wardrobe will thank you.
