Residents in uptown Hoboken are getting another beauty business (if you’re not up-to-date on the rest, here’s a pretty serious list of all the beauty spots as of late in town) in the area. 35 15th Street is soon-to-be the home of Strand Salon Studios, which is a salon suite enterprise headquartered in New Jersey. This will be the chain’s 6th location, with two more on the way. Read on for what we know about Strand Salon Studios’ arrival in Hoboken, New Jersey.

What We Know
A notice was sent out to residents of 1425 Hudson, which shared the details of the business’ developments as a tenant at the 35 15th Street entrance.
“Good Morning 1425 Hudson Residents:
The retail tenant at 1425 Hudson, Strand Salon, is looking to start their tenant construction on 5/15/24,” the email stated.

We confirmed with several sources at 1425 Hudson the salon will be coming to 35 15th Street. Strand Salon’s website also lists Hoboken as its 6th location.
If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, salon suites are a newer approach to salon ownership, where beauty professionals rent out specific spaces, taking the business management out of the ownership while catering to the high demand for hair and beauty services, which can be financially advantageous, according to Beautilofts.com. The Hudson County area is no stranger to salon suites, as there are Phenix Salon suites now open in Jersey City as well as Edgewater. My Salon Suite in Jersey City also features 31 suites inside the Cast Iron Loft buildings.
On its website, Strand shares, “At Strand Salon Studios, we provide beauty professionals with luxurious customizable room rentals curated to meet your needs. Give your clients the one on one attention they deserve. We offer premium lux finishes, with a contemporary edge.” According to its mission, the enterprise has different-sized studios to meet beauty professionals’ needs, “while giving freedom to focus on providing superior services.”
