• The Friday Five…On Saturday

Ahh the Friday Five. On Saturday. Oops. In the effort to let you know about the fabulous store that is Maxwell’s 9.13.34, I decided to post the Friday Five on Saturday so that you could learn all about Maxwell’s 9.13.34 first. If you think that I mean the music venue with “meh” food, no, I don’t. Check out the post if you missed it. You’ll thank me after you visit this beautiful place. Here’s a smorgasbord of Hoboken-centric (and not) things that I’ve come across and wanted to mention this week:

    1. Hoboken Turtle Club’s Wine Club

Love wine? Head to the club August 30th for the Southern Italian wine tasting. The have tastings every two weeks! Love it.

    2. Rare Lace Top Skater Dress

I am very into black and white right now. Yes, I know it’s color blocking time – but this is still neutral colored color-blocking! Combine with lace, and you’re in business. I just love this dress from ASOS!

    3. Vanilla Extract Blog – I absolutely love this blog. Amazing make-up tips and other fun girly stuff. She just posted a DIY cotton candy bun (a hair-do) that I’m dying to try as well as 18 ways that Vaseline is amazing. Make sure to follow!

    4. City Chatter App

This app looks kind of creepy and kind of awesome. The Boken posted about it recently, and I’m clearly just finding out about it now. Instead of sitting on Facebook and looking at pictures of your high school friend’s dog or baby, you can be sitting in a coffee shop interacting (via phone) with others in the coffee shop. Kind of stalker-ish, but it could be kind of awesome. Has anyone used this? I want to hear about it!

    5. Eggplant Parm at Grimaldi’s

Grimaldi’s is one of my favorite Italian spots in Hoboken at 4th and Washington. A relatively simple menu – with lots of delicious things – especially their pizza pies. It also has the best Italian sauce, IMHO, hands down. So what better than ordering the eggplant parmesan dish when I visited there the other night? It’s super delicious. What’s your favorite Italian dish in Hoboken?

    Happy Saturday!

When not planning the next Hoboken Girl event or #HobokenGirlHelps volunteer project, she can usually be found shopping at local boutiques, eating an Insta-worthy meal, walking her French bulldog Pierre + rescue pup Finn, or watching some really bad {but oh-so-good} reality TV and ordering takeout with her husband.
