  • The Friday Five (Plus One)

Friday Five here…bringing you HobokenGirl randomness & favorites from the week.

    1. Website: Live From Daryl’s House

This website is so neat. Daryl Hall from Hall & Oats started a website called “Live From Daryl’s House,” a free monthly web show. He had the idea in late 2007, after having the idea of “playing with my friends and putting it up on the Internet,” and the show has since garnered acclaim from Rolling Stone, SPIN, Daily Variety, CNN, etc. Basically, every month, he showcases some tunes from his house (usually in collaboration with another famous musician). This month’s is Jason Mraz. Not bad, if I do say so myself!

    2. Smartphone App: Sit or Squat

Have you ever been shopping and had to pee? Duh. This conveniently named app (SOS for short – how fitting) is so fantastic for those moments. You can search, view, rate, and add bathrooms to help fellow app users out. This application is downloadable on iPhone and Android so you can not worry about drinking that extra margarita while you are on the go or out shoppin. Thanks Charmin!

    3. Eva Longoria’s Low Bun DIY How To

I’m going to a friend’s wedding today (at the Pleasantdale Chateau), and I wanted to save a little $$ on my hair styling. So I figured I’d try to do an updo myself. I found this video (which is a great step by step vid to do this at home). I’ll let you know how it turns out!

    4. Stella & Dot Soiree Studs

These adorable studs (that go with pretty much anything) are part of the HobokenGirl/Stella Dot Giveaway – going on until Jun 30th! Make sure to head HERE to enter in the contest (any purchase made – you’re automatically entered) – drawing is July 2nd!

    5. A Quote for the Weekend:

Love this. And it’s so true!

    6. And Lastly…(yes I added one more) :

    You’re welcome.

And now that you’re completely over-stimulated…Happy Weekend.

When not planning the next Hoboken Girl event or #HobokenGirlHelps volunteer project, she can usually be found shopping at local boutiques, eating an Insta-worthy meal, walking her French bulldog Pierre, or watching some really bad {but oh-so-good} reality TV and ordering takeout with her husband.
