Welcome, June! Memorial Day weekend is over so it’s officially back to the grind. Luckily, there are tons of exciting things happening in Hoboken and Jersey City to keep your summer vibe going. From a Craft Brew Fest, to a Jazz Festival, to the Hoboken Wellness Crawl {that we’ve all been waiting for}, this weekend is going to be bustling with events, making it one for the books. Hoboken Wellness Crawl: Sunday, June 4th from 11:00AM – 4:00PM

Well folks, the time is finally here — the long awaited and highly anticipated Hoboken Wellness Crawl has officially arrived! We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate all things mind + body in Hoboken at our first ever Hoboken Wellness Crawl. Jersey City Craft Brew Fest: Saturday, June 3rd

There’s nothing quite like kicking’ back outside with a great beer, so it’s a good thing there’s a quality brew fest happening this Saturday at Harborside Plaza in Jersey City {located next to the PATH station, light rail and the Hyatt — how convenient}. There are two sessions with over 150 styles of craft beer, fantastic music, delicious food + wonderful vendors. The first session is from 12-4PM and the second is from 5:30-9:30PM. Enjoy the day or evening sessions with friends and sip on unlimited brew samples, while enjoying the stunning view of the New York City skyline. It doesn’t get any better than that. Tickets are on sale here. {Save $20 on General Admission tickets by using the code HOBOKENGIRL at checkout.}

Come hear Glorious Shade author Jenny Rose Carey speak at Little City Books {100 Bloomfield St, Hoboken} with their shady urban patches and stoops. She’ll kick off the Hoboken Garden Club and Historical Museum Secret Garden Tour with this discussion — including dazzling plants, design ideas, proven techniques for your shady garden, and much more. Art House’s JC Fridays: Friday, June 2nd

We all know summer is quickly approaching, which means it is time for Art House’s JC Fridays {a city wide festival/celebration of art + culture in Jersey City}. They will kick off the season with 55 exciting visual and performing arts events where restaurants, galleries, stores, and event spaces throughout Jersey City will showcase a variety of art-related happenings including visual exhibitions, live music, performance acts, educational demonstrations, and more. JC Fridays serve as one of the best times for artists to share their newest projects and works. Held quarterly, thousands of residents pour out to experience these artists’ latest works and to revel in the joy art brings to the community. There is a hugely insane amount of events happening at all different times/locations as apart of the event, so plan ahead and experience your favorites.

Groove on Grove: Friday, June 2nd from 5:00PM – 10:00PM

Groove on Grove is back for its 10th season. To celebrate its decade of fun at the Grove Street PATH Plaza, they are moving the party from Wednesday to Friday. This event is part of the city wide free arts extravaganza {JC Fridays} to celebrate the Arts in Jersey City. Guests can enjoy a stellar lineup of bands and excellent vendors for a unique outdoor shopping experience. You can find local artisans with a wide variety of handmade items from vintage, art, fashion and the like. Sip fresh cocktails, eat delicious food from your favorite spots, and peruse the wares of the Artist Maker Market Vendors. No matter your age, you’re never too old to get your Groove on. Prime Cycle Summer Block Party: Saturday June 3rd from 9:30AM – 4:30PM

It’s time to get your spin on. This Saturday at Sinatra Park Amphitheater, is Prime Cycle’s Summer Block Party — which sounds kind of awesome to us. The day consists of FREE live outdoor cycle classes throughout the entire day in addition to a live DJ, food, drinks, raffles, and more fabulous things all courtesy of Prime Cycle. This event is the perf way to get your exercise in, while enjoying some great tunes, food, and company, so be sure to book your bike here.

JerseyFest Food Truck Mash-Up: Saturday, June 3rd, from 5:00PM – 11:00PM

Celebrate the beginning of summer at the JerseyFest Food Truck Mash-Up at the Meadowlands {1 Racetrack Drive, East Rutherford}. Guests can enjoy over 30 different food trucks {yum}, a beer garden, live music, kid activities, harness racing and more. 12th Annual OLG NiteFest: Saturday, June 3rd from 6:00PM – 10:00PM

On Saturday, change up your routine and skip your typical go-to bar because the parking lot next to Our Lady of Grace Church {400 Willow Ave.} will be transformed into an outdoor biergarten, where visitors will enjoy craft beers, sangria, music by DJ Tim Nelson, a variety of food, and games of chance. But wait… there’s more. For the first time ever, there will be a Cornhole Tournament, which will begin at 6:30PM Teams can register in advance by emailing olgcornhole@gmail.com. 5th Annual Riverview Jazz Festival: Saturday, June 3rd from 12:00PM – 7:00PM

It’s baa-aack. This Saturday, hear world class jazz right in Jersey City. The Riverview Jazz Festival is proud to partner with URBY for this year’s kick-off event. The line up is incredible: Pat Van Dyke, Mark Whitfield + the Whitfield Family Band, Lakecia Benjamin + Soul Squad, and NY Mambo All-Stars. PLUS, DJ Prestige will be spinning between sets, and the event will feature Mz Leslie Harrison as MC. It all takes place at the Jersey City waterfront {2 Second Street}. Oh, and the best part? It’s FREE to the public.

Val Emmich Book Signing + Concert at Maxwell’s: Saturday, June 3rd at 7pm

A concert to celebrate a book publication of Val Emmich’s debut novel, The Reminders? Yes, please. Dubbed a “Renaissance Man” by the New York Post, Val Emmich is a writer, singer-songwriter, and actor. The Reminders was named one of the 12 Best New Books of May by Harper’s Bazaar and one of AM New York’s “10 Books to Read in 2017.” This event is presented by Little City Books of Hoboken but will take place at none other than Maxwell’s Tavern {1039 Washington St, Hoboken}. Doors open at 7PM, the book signing is at 7:30PM, and the show itself is at 8:30PM. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the show and can be bought here.

12th Annual OLG Funfest: Sunday, June 4th from 11:00AM – 6:00PM

There’s fun for the entire family The OLG FunFest this Sunday at Church Square Park, between Fourth and Fifth streets on Willow Avenue in Hoboken. Children will enjoy pony rides, face-painting, and bouncy houses. Adults will want to check out the festival’s various vendors {selling art, jewelry and more}, the Tricky Tray, used book sale, and a 50/50 raffle. The Funfest is held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, the bouncy houses, face-painting and children’s activities will be held in the Our Lady of Grace School, located next to the church. Oh, and just one more thing — admission is FREE. Sounds like a whole lot of fun in our book.

Iconic Lip Sync: Sunday, June 4th from 5PM – 9PM

It’s Sunday Funday for sure with this event. We’ve found the perfect after brunch activity for you: lip syncing. Grab some friends, family, or your S.O. and stop by LITM at 140 Newark Ave in Jersey City. With a host of different drink deals for the event, this is sure to be an unforgettable Sunday.
