Departed Soles 2nd Anniversary Weekend: Thursday, June 15th at 4:00PM to Sunday, June 18th at 7:00 PM

Come celebrate the 2nd Distribution Anniversary of Departed Soles Brewing Company {150 Bay St., JC}. This place is Jersey City’s only microbrewery and tasting room, and the region’s only brewery producing both Gluten Free and Definitely Not Gluten Free options. There will be music, sports on the television, Bogan kisses, high fives, and of course, some delicious new craft beer. Cheers to that.

Liberty Science Center After Dark-Nerd Prom: Thursday, June 15th from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Pier 13 Food Truck Frenzy: Thursday June 15th

It’s back and it’s better. Cancelled because of rain a couple weeks ago, the Food Truck Frenzy is officially happening this week. Get your belly {and camera} ready because Pier 13 is going to be the place to be this Thursday. With over 15 food trucks lining the pier, enjoy delicious foods ranging from gourmet pizza to banana ice cream and everything in between. Add the beautiful back drop of the NYC skyline and get ready to take your Insta story to a whole new level.

Evening Under the Stars: Thursday, June 15th 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Back for the 7th year in a row, An Evening Under The Stars takes place this Thursday. Attendants 21 years and older can sample all the delicious treats they want from food and drink vendors as they listen to live music from the band. All proceeds from the annual block party support the York Street Project programs to break the cycle of poverty for local women and children. Tickets include unlimited food and drink tastings from all vendors. The event will take place at 89 York Street, JC. See you there for a very stary night.

11th Annual Sinatra Idol Contest: Thursday, June 15th at 6:30 PM

Head down to Sinatra Park this Thursday {and bring your inner Simon Cowell} because Sinatra Idol is happening, with featured hosts Gary Simpson and Geri Fallo. Enjoy beautiful skyline vistas accompanied by the smooth sounds of some old school crooners. Admission is free to attendants and this year, there are loads of talented contestants. Prizes donated from local business will be awarded to the best Sinatra Style Singers.

Wine Tasting + Sale at Amanda’s: Friday, June 16th at 7:30 PM

Pilates for Neurological Disorders by Kure Pilates: Friday June 16th — Saturday June 17th

Mark those calendars for this Friday + Saturday because Kure Pilates is hosting Pilates for Neurological Conditions — an opportunity for you to learn how to successfully work with clients with neurological impairment. Meghann Koppele {a specialist in neuro rehabilitation} will be your host and will guide you through training, but you can get more information on the event by checking out their Facebook page.

Cookout For A Cure: Friday, June 16th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

This Friday at House of ‘Que {340 Sinatra Drive, Hoboken} will be a Cookout for Connor’s Cure. There will be BBQ, drink specials, and raffle prizes with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Connor’s Cure benefitting pediatric cancer research. The raffle will include prizes such as two tickets to the NJ Devils vs. NY Rangers, a Lysol home basket, Choc O Pain gift certificates, and more. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door {cash only}. The menu includes pulled pork, sliced brisket, smoked chicken, potato salad, Texas slaw, and two free raffle tickets. Que the fun times, please.

Essential Oils Workshop: Friday, June 16th at 7:00 PM

Partake in this free class to learn how to use essential oils to help you heal everyday from the inside out presented by Squeeze’D with special co-host Beth Conroy who is a licensed acupuncturist + wellness practitioner. The workshop will be held at the Cast Iron Lofts {Building 2} at the corner of Coles + 17th St in the Residence Lounge on the 5th Floor. Shut Up And Listen – Silent Slumber Party: Saturday, June 17th from 9:30 PM – 2:30 AM

Have you ever tried quiet clubbing? Every month in Jersey City @chicpeajc + @hayoner throw themed headphone parties.  This month it will be at Club Transmission {150 Bay St JC}. Three live DJs are spinning tunes, each one playing a different genre. But since the music can’t be heard in the venue, it’s as though people are dancing to nothing. You choose what to jam to with a simple flick of a switch. The blue, red, or green light on each headset shows which DJ other party go-ers are listening to. Sway along to the same song as your friends or tap to your own tune. Best part? No ringing in your ears. Tickets include headphones and free Iceys all night long.

Treating fathers to a delicious feast of fresh seafood and a beautiful view won’t be hard to do this Father’s Day with Halifax.
