Labor Day has come and gone, you’ve put the white pants away {JK, white is for year round}, and it’s time to start buckling down for fall. This weekend, there’s a plethora of activities to take your mind off the stress of the week: from the annual Hoboken Italian Festival {helloooo, food feast} to plenty of ways to get your fitness or drink on, you def won’t be twiddling your thumbs this weekend. Here are 13 things to do in Hoboken and Jersey City this weekend.

Jersey City Wine Fest at the Harborside Atrium: Saturday, September 9th from 6:00PM – 10:00AM  

It’s the return of the The Jersey City Wine Fest. This fest is your “all access pass to hundreds of new wines from around the world.” Taking place at the Harborside JC Atrium {153 Harborside Plaza Two}, this event is a can’t-miss. Enjoy a skyline view in addition to unlimited wine samples, yummy food, seminars, live entertainment by Stereo Junkies Band, and interactive games. General Admission is from 6PM – 9:30PM. Hoboken Italian Festival on Sinatra Drive: Thursday, September 7th — Sunday, September 10th from 10:00AM-11:00PM

The Hoboken Italian Festival {in honor of Madonna Dei Martiri} rings in its 91st anniversary this year with a wave of activities, music, a feast, and more that you won’t want to miss. This festival is traditionally celebrated on September 8th, which is the universal celebration of the Nativity of Mary. From a pizza eating contest and cannoli eating contest to a fireworks extravaganza and a procession throughout the Mile Square, it’ll be difficult to not participate in some way. Hear from the Board of Education candidates at the Church of Our Lady is Grace {422 Willow Ave.}, so you can make an informed decision on November 7th. The event will follow the regular format of the Hoboken Quality of Life Commission and will be moderated by Bob Bowdon, a professional interviewer and longtime resident of Hoboken.

Tap Into Hudson Networking Event at the Culinary Arts Institute: Thursday, September 7th from 6:00 – 8:00PM

Hub Hoboken Grand Opening: Thursday, September 7th at 3:00PM

You can add another go-to sports bar to your list with the grand opening of Hub {16 Hudson Place}, which will be broadcasting the Michael Kay Show live starting at 3PM and will feature plenty of other sports personality guest appearances. JC Fridays {Various Locations}: Friday, September 8th, Times Vary by Location

JC Fridays are back with 31 events in 11 locations, so there’s no excuse not to check things out and support the local arts community. The free event is an all-day celebration of the arts and will feature a group show called “New Jersey + You – Perfect Together,” that celebrates the beauty of Jersey, an educational kids station where your little ones can create collages, a viewing of The Base 12 Project, live music at The Whealth Cafe, and a “New Waves” performance, which is an interactive experience. Find a location near you here.

There’s a first time for everything, and this Saturday, it’s a folk festival in JC in Cathedral Hall {380 Montgomery Street}. Hudson West Folk Festival is a day-long event that will feature workshops, food, drink, and plenty of music from regional acts including The Mammals, The Chapin Sisters, and more. NY Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys at The Shep: Sunday, September 10th at 7:30PM
