This cloudy, rainy, and what seemed like the longest week ever is almost behind us, and we’re celebrating with a roundup of events happening in our area this weekend. Below we’ve got a list of 22 things to do in Hoboken and Jersey City this weekend, including Mile Square theater’s newest play, Tito the Chihuahua’s 16th birthday party, the All About Downtown Street Fair in Jersey City, and more — read on for the full list:

Mile Square Theatre continues its 2018 season with Christopher Durang’s hilarious comedy about love, life and family, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Durang drops a mixed bag of Chekhovian characters in contemporary Bucks County in this comic tour-de-force. Relentlessly silly and smart, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike deservedly won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Help Hoboken Girl Collect Supplies for Women Rising — Beginning Sunday, September 16th through Tuesday, October 16th

Hoboken Girl is running a drive to collect tampons, pads, diapers, and wipes for local shelter, Women Rising. Drop-off locations include: European Wax Center, Massage Envy, Amazing Lash, Athleta, Jojomaman Bebe, Hudson Yoga Project, and Boutique Realty, all in Hoboken.

Find a Hoboken Girl {Friend} Social 2 — Wednesday, September 26th from 6:30PM-9:00PM

Last month, we hosted our first ever Find a Hoboken Girl {Friend} Social — an event specifically designed to bring together women in Hudson County who are looking to make new friends through a fun and interactive way of getting to know other attendees. The first one was so much fun that we’ve decided to host round 2 on Wednesday, September 26th from 6:30PM-9:00PM at the Kolo Klub located at 1422 Grand Street. We hope to see you there!

Tito, the senior pup that went viral on Hoboken Girl recently, is celebrating his 16th birthday this Friday at City Bistro in Hoboken {58 14th Street}. Light Up the Loop Night Bicycle Ride in Hoboken + Jersey City — Friday, September 14th at 7:00PM

The 25th Annual Ruth’s Chris Steak House Newport Liberty Half Marathon — Sunday, September 16th at 8:30AM

Participating runners will run along the Hudson River waterfront walkway and across to Liberty State Park, enjoying views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Verrazano Bridge, and of course the entire Manhattan skyline.
