We’re pretty lucky here in Hudson County — from diners to wine bars to Italian bakeries and the best view of the city, some might say we have it all. While that is totally true, we can’t help but ask for a few more things. We asked some of the Hoboken Girl team what they would like to see come to our area in 2018, and wanted to share the results. Read on for things we think should come to Hudson County, and then add your thoughts of other businesses and unique things you’d like to see in the comments below!

Club Pilates 2023

“I think Hoboken needs a community pool — and a bowling alley and/or another big events space would be awesome. And keep the healthy food spots with vegan options coming!”

JK Therapy

-Jen, Editor and Founder

Hobbs Inc

“I would love to see more New American/Cafes in Journal Square along with more options for exercise classes and art galleries.”

-Cait, Jersey City contributor

“I would love to have a gaming venue with bowling, shuffleboard, darts, ping-pong, billiards in Hoboken. We could use more healthy (organic, vegetarian-friendly, GF/DF options) restaurants like by Chloe, Dr Smood, and Hu Kitchen in NYC.”

AXIS School of Dance

-Lauren, Hoboken Contributor

“I’d love to see a large community theatre/entertainment space come to town that could host music events, national tours, etc. I also really love the idea of a European-style market coming to Hoboken that’s Eataly-esque. And, I’m in agreement that we need a community pool!”

-Kate, Marketing and Events Manager

“I’d love to see Hoboken start some kind of summer concert series (like the summer weeknight movies and things we’ve done in the past) – I think we have enough piers to do it!”

-Genna, Fashion Contributor

“I’d love to see more quick/on-the-go healthy food options, like how the city has Europa Cafe where there is a huge variety of options {salads, sandwiches, soups, and more} that you can take to go or eat there. I LOVE their create-your-own salad station {they even chop it for you #win} and can’t find anything similar in Hoboken. To go totally against that, I’m gonna go ahead and say it – we *need* a Baked By Melissa in town.”

-Briana, Editorial Assistant

“We need a brewery, and another diner!”

-Michelle, Marketing Associate

“I would love to see more come to West Hoboken, especially restaurants and spots for date night or girls night out! The area is building up and I can’t wait to see what opens in this neighborhood in 2018.”

-Arielle, DIY Contributor

“I’d love to see a bowling alley come to Hoboken. And a craft store for things like iron on letters and fun baking supplies, please!”

Michele, Foodie Contributor

“I would love to see more gluten-free options in Bayonne {especially gluten-free pizza!} and maybe some cute clothes/accessories stores on Broadway!”

-Lauren D., Jersey City + Bayonne Contributor
