We hosted our inaugural Hoboken Girl Helps volunteering event at Women Rising {a local Jersey City organization serving women and their families} last month. 10+ volunteers, as part of our first Hoboken Girl Helps event, made over the children’s room at the women’s shelter.

There was also a “donation ticket” for those who weren’t able attend but wanted to support the cause with their generosity.

The third Monday of the month is reserved for the Adult Book Club at the Pavonia Branch of the Jersey City Public Library. Registration is required and the club is open to those aged 19 and up.
The Book Lovers Club | Little City Books, 100 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken
Readers can join Little City monthly from 6:30PM-8PM for a conversation on the month’s chosen book. Members can register to be part of the conversation online. Little City’s website shares the chosen book of the month and the date.

Books, Brunches, + Booze | Multiple Locations, Jersey City
This national book and social club has a chapter right here in Jersey City. The members-only club is more than just a book club, it’s a way to build community and connect with others with similar interests. Yearly memberships are $60 and unlock access to events.
Completely Booked Book Club | Virtual

Completely Booked Book Club is a monthly, virtual book club that meets on the last Tuesday of the month from 7PM-8PM via Zoom. While the book club is open to members from across the country, with a few international members, most who join are from the Hudson County area. One book is read each month and the author is on live for the conversation at every meeting.
Hoboken Public Library Mystery Book Club | 500 Park Avenue, Hoboken
Since 2018, the Hoboken Public Library Mystery Book Club has been meeting. Join the group on the second Tuesday of the month at 4:30PM. The next month’s book will be revealed at the end of the current conversation.
Hoboken Public Library Romance Book Club | 500 Park Avenue, Hoboken
Calling all romance book lovers for this one. Reading books that center romance or often deemed as ‘chick lit,’ this book club discusses all things love. The group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 4PM.

Stay in the know of the latest and greatest books hitting the shelves with this book club. On the last Wednesday of the month, book lovers gather to chat about a new release.
Jersey City Book Club Babes | Multiple Locations, Jersey City
An easy-to-join book club that is open to all is exactly the vibe that can be felt with Jersey City Book Club Babes. Each month a different book and theme is picked for members to participate. There is a small fee involved with the book club, so be sure to purchase before hearing to a meeting.
Jersey City Cook Book Club | Multiple Locations, Jersey City
A new addition to book clubs in Jersey City is the Cook Book Club. Members gather monthly and are open to all ages. Volunteers can host the next meeting and will get to choose which book the food and conversation will be based on. More than just a way to play sports, Hive Athletic is a community built for social sports enthusiasts. Hive Athletic is a way to make friends, get in a workout, and even give back to the community. Sports available range from kickball to flag football, baseball to cornhole.
Hoboken Board Games Meetups | Multiple Locations, Hoboken
This is a way to spend a Friday night with other game lovers in Hoboken. Every Friday, board game lovers in Hoboken meet up for friendly competition. Organizers ask that all joining be open to teaching beginners the ropes and have a good time.

A new group to Hoboken, the Sober Curious Community is a group navigating the sometimes difficult social scene that revolves around drinking and smoking. The group meets via Zoom every Wednesday to bounce ideas off each other on navigating, being sober curious, and reflecting on experiences together.

Board game enthusiasts, this one’s for you. Victory Point in Jersey City hosts regular meetups with all types of games for everyone to play. Either bring your own board game club for a private event or join in on the daily meetups.
